My guess for units type:
heavy unit: Steel Fist (Champion looks much like heavy units and that's no brainer);
artillery unit: Energy Canon (it has double big guns);
ranged unit: Ghost Blaster (mayble most likely it shoots with their gun);
light unit: Observer Drone (most likely it has no gun, but it's still likely melee unit and small unit, it will have forcefield skill because it uses shileds when it has been attacked by enemy units (I saw in animation));
fast unit: Power Dragon (it has a gun, but it's most likely too fast).

i think the ranged unit would be the Observer Drone (drone suggests some distance imo), which would make Ghost Blaster the light unit instead

Well, we had ceres with walking tubes in the image. This got completely changed. It could be, that this will also change. We don't know.

As there is a outpost-hud related image I expect the shards part of the GB to be relevant only in SAM or later, maybe even only for a completely new mechanic for SAV (or later), similar to how the space Carriers special goods bonus was only relevant for AF+
