Not to try to call you out specifically there Lady Bulgar but I think were well into shooting the messenger territory here. If @Zarok Dai didn't say anything we'd be down her throat for ignoring us. She really is between a rock and a hard place, all she can do is pass up our frustrations about required advancement.

I think it would be wise for all of us to remember this is inno's game, they call the shots and if they want to keep frustrating players it is on them not her. Zarok is a great community manager and if you use the other language forums you see how lucky we are to have her.

Hence why I said "Inno are shining us on".

I'm not unaware of the requirements/limitations of being an unpaid moderator. I was on the moderation team for the official forums of one of the most widely supported football clubs in the world, so have experienced far worse that is seen on these boards. Given that, I'm fully aware that all a moderator can do is pass on what's said, but equally I am aware that when it comes to repeated platitudes there is nothing worse than rolling out the same worn-out excuses.

It's equally up to the moderation team to be the official point of focus for requests from the forum userbase, especially those suggestions that they view as important. They might not have much power of decision-making, but I can say from experience that when the moderation team take up the banner of specific changes then they are far more likely to be implemented.

Yet another 1000 footballs, yet again not a single daily prize. Complete rip-off event.

I am not an unpaid moderator, I am the paid Community Manager for Beta.

I do take up the 'banner' as you say, but that does not mean I can force changes. On especially hot topics (like quest alternatives) I continue to bring it up, and often over time things do improve. As I have said before, a year ago we had no alternatives. The fact that the community is asking for 'more' alternatives would tend to indicate we have made progress already as you can't ask for 'more' if you don't already have 'some'.
Just saying .... ;)

I have to agree with some other people in here. I've already introduced this to people who are not on beta and the first response I got was why American Football? I personally don't care either way. Other then that I love it. :)

I Bought some extra balls as well...and guess what...I'm winning nothing but victorypillars and not the special event buildings aka daily prize!
What a diamont waste .....

Football event seems to take too long to get a touchdown, the odds are too small to get something good, , and the good prizes all show up after I spend my footballs. Does not seem worth the time.

This is not American Football. This is maybe Rugby or Earthball.
Woody Hayes at Ohio State was famous for "3yds and a cloud of dust."
Pass Plays?
This is a frustrating gimmick to force in game purchase.... at least make it competitive! The prizes are worth it, if it was more like your chances in REAL Football.
Instead of a set number of yards per play use percentage chances to determine yards gained:
Level 1- Run Plays - 5% TD, 10% 55 yards, 20% 40 yards, 25% 25 yards, 40% 10 yards.
Level 2- Pass Plays - 5% TD, 10% 50 yards, 30% 25 yards, 50% 10 yards, 5% incomplete (zero yards)
Level 3- Trick Plays - 5% TD, 5% 40 yards, 50% 5 yards, 5% no gain.

I have lost my interest and excitement almost entirely regarding this event!

It started well.
It was new,
There were new buildings
The final reward was really something unique
The first 20 quests gave us a good start to the event.

But then.. something went wrong!

This event is way too slow!
It is not only about the daily reward items and the imbalance in the chances to get them.
It is also about the pace.. keeping the excitement to continue... leaving some hope for the next time...keeping the motivation to go to the end..

All the other events had an excitement factor regardless of how much we criticized this or that feauture.
As a recent example, the winter event had me feeling excited. Because I could collect enough stars to open several presents every day and even if I was not lucky enough to get something good each day, I still got at least one "satisfying" item every other day.

This event is excruciatingly slow. Collecting footballs enough to get a single click chance once in a day only to see the players move few yards and in the end risking to get something that you won't even remember having in your storage..... This is painful!

I don't see this as an motivation to buy diamonds either. Because I spent a lot of diamonds and all I got was a few more yards and more frustrating rewards! I don't see the path to diamond either in this event!

I can't come up with any suggestions at the moment but all I can say is that it needs to be sped up, have more reward item options and give more rewards to keep the interests and also focus on providing at least a feeling of satisfaction with each day's event activity (and rewards).

Great Event... very beautiful... I sincerely appreciate it :)
Please, add the possibility to buy the daily special using diamonds...

Best Regards

Do you mean that the chances are set incorrectly?

It was mentioned during the event that the "event building" odds were incredibly low. Percentages that started a practically impossible 6% for the event buildings were slightly raised to 10% after the initial complaints, and then a 15% chance of winning the daily special - whilst the percentage for the booby prize for the event chest was 55%, for a victory tower.

I've no doubt Inno are happy with that, but as to whether the chance was set incorrectly? You tell me... 2000+ footballs and not a single daily special and only two event buildings, both the same type. Perfectly fine according to the fixed odds, but in your opinion does that kind of return sound like a "fair" chance for the majority of the footballs the event has to offer?

GLITCH (?) REPORT!

It happened for second time and I was watching it carefully now, so I believe it is worth reporting. Today's quest: "Finish any other quest". I do ALWAYS have some quest finished in the side quest or bonus quest line, but I do not complete it = do not collect the reward (if you ask why - because of the event - to have it ready when needed :) ). In the last event (I believe it was the winter one), when there was "finish any other quest", I had to click to collect that side quest reward to complete "finish any other quest" task.
But in the forge bowl, the fact that there is finished quest in the side story line without actually completing the quest by collecting the reward, it counted toward "Finish any other quest". And this task was already earlier in forge bowl and it behaved the same way.
As it is, if you have any quest finished but not completed (aka the reward uncollected), it counts as "finish any other quest",
I don't know whether it was the intention or not, but it definitely didn't work that way in prior events.

I hope I explained it clearly, if not, please ask (I know I'm terrible at explaining stuff)

Saw the same thing and this is what I think is happening. When you collect your 35 free footballs that counts a completing a quest so when the daily quest appears that condition has already been met.

Well - it is all ONLY statistic. I - in my heart - completely agree with you and I was posting similar complaints and doubts about correct percentage during the fall (apple) event. Never could I win the daily price even with 20% chance and I always received the 10% item in the basket. And it was explained to me that mathematically 10% chance do not mean you will win the item once every 10 tries because it resets the counter after every try - even 50% you might simply never win (unlikely, but mathematically possible). One way or another, Inno wants to make money, so like in casino - it is rip off, but that's how statistic works.

This is what I do - since they added upgrade to daily special, just to save up balls and use them up all when it is daily special and hope... And you might get a couple of touchdowns there as well. After all, as much as nice some of the buildings are (especially the ones with att/def bonus), the fully upgraded pillar is the most valuable building and to get to lvl 7 should be the main focus. (I'm at lvl 6 now and I have spend "only" 2x200 diamonds in total)

You might be right, but that is a glitch as well, cuz it is "complete any other quest (e.g. in side or main story line)" , so the daily football collections shouldn't count. Otherwise the whole task it pointless (and it didn't work that way in prior events)

I would like to leave my feedback here. I found that event very bad. Despite the resolution of all quests and the use of diamonds we got fro testing, I was unable to collect all the kits. Why does everything always follow the same random principle? Why always gambling ? That was already the case before at the winter event. I would prefer much heavier quests, but clear and secure rewards if you spend the time (or dias) for it. So you use diamonds and get nothing (or only with luck) in return.
We should also have the chance to solve more than one quest daily at popular possible prizes. If the kits are all coming at the end, only a few days in a row, you have no more attempts ... A great pity, please, let's come up with something else or change some things in that event.
In the life servers, I will not bother so much, or even use diamonds for such hardly achievable gamblings.

This is the first time ever that I can not conclude an event with the main building despite some diamonds.:(

I need to say that I`m disappointed too. I really tried to get the 7 lvlups of the pillar and it seems as if i only reach level 4 :-(
I mean, no, I didn`t spend any diamonds on it - in my eyes they may perhaps be necessary for the last level - but almost half of the way? No way!

I am surprised i hit the pillar update in the smallest one , like 60 balls ,chance 7 percent :)

This seems to be a re-occurring theme here. Of course Inno tries to "force" play. They are here to make money and by "forcing" they hope to do exactly that. It's a simple philosophy. The choice, however, is 100% yours, whether to fall into the "Force" play trap or not.

If an end-game prize at the end of an event is that valuable to you then go for it and don't complain on what Inno wants you to do to achieve it. If the prize isn't worth while to you, do what I do. I get the "free" points without quests and hope for the best when I click whatever needs clicking for a prize of sorts. I don't do 90 production of 5 minutes nor do I advance on the C-Map with goods I don't have, etc....

Here on Beta, we are here to test out the mechanics of stuff. We are also here to let the "Devs" know when certain elements of an event or an "enhancement" are out of line. We voice an opinion, we give a few ideas on how to improve a thing, then it's up to them to take that info and act on it or not. If they toss out great suggestions and players quit, it's their loss. If they develop some of those suggestion and see an increase in income, then they have gained... I'll say it here as I have many a time on the "Main" forums. Happy players spend money. Unhappy ones play for free. It's just as much their call as it is yours as a player.

You have 100% freedom to make your own choices. As for me, staying in a given age for a heck of a long time, is part and parcel of my game play. I level up my placed GB's to where I am happy with it and doing so I produce goods of that age (and past) in the thousands. It's a "Hurry up and Wait" style of game. We do not roam the lands fighting monsters or other players, doing quests for gear or leveling a character etc.... I am never forced to do a thing in FoE unless the prize at the end is well worth the push.

As far as their Football event goes, it's a non-event for me. I agree with those who have said the % for prizes suck, the mechanics suck and the quest suck. They have made good suggestions on how to improve the event and I will leave that here...

Thanks for reading......
