I don't want to think how many florins I've spent - to get a shedload of victory towers, troops I'll never use, all sorts of things EXCEPT the event buildings. This"x% chance each try" business is nonsense, there should be a cumulative effect of some sort OR a much higher chance of getting something decent. Since the odds of my getting even the basic event buildings is apparently close to zero, I certainly won't be wasting a lot of time on this on my main server worlds. And I will, as always, advise my guildmates and friends as the whether it is worth doing the event. In this case, my recommendation will be to take the dog for a walk instead.

It's clear game companies don't like to give away useful rewards if they can avoid it. During this event, I wonder how often anyone has said, "Sweet! I got another Victory Tower!"

I think the problem with this is that what makes players happy and what makes Inno happy are often not the same. While I would heartily approve of a "cumulative effect", it would be something of a self-imposed cap on Inno's revenues. Considering that the direct purchase option was eliminated this year, it seems highly unlikely that Inno would ever agree to this.

Well, what makes Inno happy is money and what makes the players happy are a fun gaming experience. They don't have to be mutually exclusive; they certainly weren't last year. For whatever reason though, Inno seems to have made a New Year's Resolution of superior commitment to inferior content, and they are carrying it out with gusto.

I sincerely, desperately hope that the Spring Event will be as great as it was last year, but I'm very skeptical given the mediocre content released thus far since the turn of the calendar. I know thus far I'm not spending anywhere near the money I spent last year, and talking to other "spending" players I know they aren't either. IDK what the heck is wrong over at Inno but it's very disappointing given how great the game has been up until now.

I just want to make 2 quick comments that can be considered suggestions as well... First, this new prize every 6hrs is a real pain... I feel like I'm missing 2 each day... Figure if someone works 8hrs a day and that same someone sleeps 8hrs a day, then they could easily completely miss 2 prizes a day... I'm not sure how many days into it we are, but at this point, I still have yet to even see the Home part of the set, but I've seen the upgrade for it twice... I also have the other 4 pieces at level 2, so I can only assume it's coming up and I'm missing it... As good as you guys are with using math to limit things or make things work out, it should be hard to figure out a time that would work better, like every 3hrs, or every 1hrs or even every 12hrs would be better... not something that could easily get lost in someones daily routine that is considered conventional by most of the world...
Second thing, which kinda goes hand in hand with the first one and could almost be an alternative to changing the time the prize is available is to show the next prize coming up, even if it were only displayed the second half for 3hrs, that would allow someone who's 8hrs work or sleep is overlapping the 6hrs prize to at least have the option to set an alarm or sleep...

On another note, the mask vendor upgrade I did see, but didn't win even with over 6k florins spent (always choosing the higher % of special prize = no skills, no tactics, no nothing just a stupid game of chance which is probably rigged to favor the house like every single casino on this planet).

Anyway, I have to say that the chance of winning DS in the Forge Bowl were much higher (and I don't care about the displayed % number, because I don't trust it anyway, but the real chance programmed in the game), because I simply won many more DS there than here.

So ... after spending about 30k Florins (by spending more than 1000 of the free dias) there are still 3 pieces of the set missing. Unless there are some weird quests I probably can make it by the 2 selection-kits from Silver and the one for the last quest. But is this really what one wants when doing a complete quest-series day by day? Not really. There were several times the last days when one of the needed kits showed up early in the morning - only few minutes left to gain - no luck by spending all the night-tickets to gain florins and the pressure to do the quest within minutes (what isn't really funny without coffee ). As there aren't even free daily Florins as in other events, it's really frustrating sometimes. Maybe I'm just one with a lot of bad luck (then I'm hoping for the same amount in good luck for my love live ) - but it seems I'm not the only one.

I wrote it already 2 times - the chance to get 10 different pieces with a 10% chance each is about 1,5 % - pls recalculate

Edit: at lastt I'm still too fortunate for getting the Jinxed-Medal ... or not even this

actually second one was a pretty nice suggestion.
a heads-up what next one is, it's easy, not hurting anyone, and players can benefit from it a lot.
these days it's hard to see a useful suggestions but just rants

The question is NOT whether one NEEDs 10 pieces or whether the one or the other piece seems like crap or even the complete set - the event is offering a set with 10 pieces and therefore it should be possible to grab it without spending diamonds. For me one reason of beta-server is to just test and find out whether this is possible or not and to give feedback if it seems to be impossible for the majority of players to give Inno the chance for a rebalancing for live servers.

like the previous similar set: in the first year we get the buildings and in following year the upgrades

Well... Technically they offer a set with 5 pieces - that should be achievable quite well - and they give the opportunity (especially to diamond spenders) to achieve an upgrade.
If they wanted you to have the set on lvl 2 they could have just ignored the levels and give out 5 pieces with the stats of level 2...

Main problem is that inno spoiled the players in recent events and "just a lvl 1" does not give enough benefits for the player to make it worthwhile - that is why every player wants lvl2.

One solution could be to give the lvl2 specs to lvl1 and increase the specs of lvl 2 (for diamond spenders). In that case it also should be communicated to the players that lvl1 is the main prize - and that everything more would be for lucky players and diamond spenders.

PS: My comments above are made under the assumption that the voices on the forum reflect the experiences of most of the players and the lvl 2 set is as hard to get as is described...

As for me today:

I have 3 buildings and 4 upgrades, I spent all my guilders and finished all my quests, still have 4 days to get 2 buildings and an improvement.
I have a hard time believing that my set will be complete in 4 days having done all the quests and spending all the florins.

I would see it in 4 days, but honestly I do not believe it, and (as for the Bawl Forge), when everything is done and spent, it would be normal to have all the buildings and all the improvements

No, luck is when I catch my plane while arriving late at the airport.

Here - "luck" is a well informed business decision made by Inno. They would be very incompetent business manages if it was otherwise.

That being said - I "won" 8 base set pieces for approximately 16,000 florins. After that I decided to try for upgrades. After spending 7,500 I "won" one (1) upgrade.
Luck drastically changed, from one extreme to another, right?
Somehow I doubt...

Past week, I won in 15% chance game after 3-5 attempts. So did all my neighbors, each time I watched.
Last three days, I need 10-20 attempts for every winning in the same 15% game. Exactly the same happens to my neighbors when I watch.

YES, I noticed that too. After initial "testing" of the 5% game I ignored it for the rest of the event, not worth the stress, played 15% with full ticket bank, got it within 6 and spent rest of the bank in 100% game, Last two days, none of that. needed 25 attempts to get the 15% right now (I did use the free diam they gave us for the purpose, will definitely NOT pay for it on live server). I needed just 12 tickets yesterday, only 10 diam . Guess even winning the Jinxed medal is eluding me, because I lost only 24 times, not 30 times, well, too bad Hey, it is NOT complain that I didn't lose even more... just sayin'

Spending diamonds - even if it is out of frustration - confirms to Inno that this event is a success.

Anyone who spends diamonds on it, heightens the chances that this type of double-luck event will return. If you don't like this type of event, don't spend diamonds on it. Vote with your feet. ; )

So, I managed to pick up the final piece (fountain) when it was presented. I had stopped playing the event as I know I am a shoo-in for getting an upgrade for the fountain as a prize. If it took me about the duration of the event to gather all pieces at times I am able to get in and play, I can feel for the rest out there that are struggling in trying to get a second piece (the mask vendor doesn't count as it was given in a quest) or more.



Clearly, I won't play this on the live server I am parked in (Angkor US) and had advised my guild mates to try and steer clear from such (as in not waste their time) since I do not believe in chance (I believe in results, which is a different animal). If I wanted a "chance" game, I would have stayed with Fairytune (er, Wartune, but it's no longer that as I was handed clothing that a rodeo clown would not be caught dead in) and gather useless talismans and astrals that doesn't make sense for my build.

well I have to say that I got the full and upgraded set. At the beginning I was skeptical but I have to change my position. I played it at leisure yet I was able to get every piece and upgrade. It is true that I spent like 2K diamonds (all the diamonds that we got to test it) but I still have 2 more kits coming and got already another upgrade. Nevertheless it is possible to get a full set. It is all in strategy and waiting a bit on bigger florins accumulation.

while yes it is possible to get a full set, it is not probable. i for instance did not spend any of the diamonds nor was i able to win any of the set buildings at all. i got a couple upgrades but that's it. i say not probable because there's a whole lot of fustrated players out there. i'm not one of them. i'm glad i can skip this event entirely. ill advise my guilds to do the same. its nice once in a while to have an event with prizes not worth going after.
back when there were only four or five events per year we all wanted more. who wants to wait months for the next one? now that they seem to be 7 days apart with a lot of good stuff, i say take advantage and just play the game and ignore an event that is selling stuff you dont need.
