On that note... Has anyone gotten the second achievement "over the rainbow"? Is it for completing all 38 tasks?

It is for completing so many Towns nothing to do with Tasks. Looking at the achievement box in game complete 15 Towns will give you Gold, 1 was Bronze not sure about Silver.

Is there an updated strategy out there?
as the event seems to have stayed pretty stable (for bad or for worse ...) not really: the lazy strategy is still pretty valid.

additionally i have proposed a super lazy strategy on the german live forum:

* do three limbo rounds for a total of 100 tasks (you don't need shipment / festival manager on level three° at that speed)
* buy a chest set after every round

* if you're lucky with incidents° you should get a second chest set (@3.900 gold pots) at the very end (last day) of round #3.
if not you can still decide to spend 200-300 dias to get the fourth (in total) chest set.

--> gives you 8-9 celtic pieces --> more than enough for the set to properly work.

--> feasible for people with real life / families / jobs / limbo-idle haters (7 days per round)

--> not feasible for collectors who have to have 10 set pieces

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
° depending on whether or not you upgrade shipment / festival to level three even where not required by tasks you need 200-500 gold pots in addition to the 11.200 available.

I was happy with the event.
  1. I thank Inno for developing a whole new concept.
  2. Thanks to some forum posters who gave great and early tips here on the forum I have managed to get 10 set pieces. Let's Limbo ;)!
  3. This leads to the criticism that without these tips one would have lost too many PoG by experimenting. It seems that without beta the live servers would have a serious problem and one can only hope that the live servers find the way to the advice which have been giving here
  4. Due to this I have spent 110 diamond for 100 PoG because I had spent to much early on. In the end it appeared not to be neccessary as I could start today a new festivalcity. But hey, that is why we got diamonds for in advance (as for the inconveniences during the event when some bugs appeared)
  5. I found the time spent reasonable. (It seems like some think that by logging in once a day for some minutes they will get their city up and running with the greatest rewards)
  6. Speaking of rewards: The set is scoring high on my list of FP rewards per square. Furthermore it gives some extra bonuses for my fighting army. Will place it ! I am also glad that those with deep pockets cannot buy multiple chest with diamonds as has been seen in other events
  7. The 3 different set of task were suprising but kept me on my toes. I do think more explanations beforehand would have helped here as it also would have helped on the criticism mentioned above

    Just my 2 cents,

I must be doing something wrong. I finished all the quests and still still only got thru 3 towns, ending up with only 3 pieces of the event building, only 2 were level 2. In any other event, completing all the tasks definitely got you a completely leveled up event building. I was just wondering, a piece lists what you get for alone, next to 2, next to 3 - if it is next to 3 buildings - do you get all the prizes or just the one listed for next to 3?

Maybe Inno is a victim of classic 'groupthink". They've pushed the boundaries several times, and while players provide negative feedback, seemingly there has been no impact to Inno's bottom line, or not enough of one to break though their collective "illusion of invulnerability"

Theoretically speaking, if a large group of players decided to both not play an event, and also stop spending any diamonds for any purpose during that event, it would be interesting to see if that would provoke a more responsive attitude to customer feedback. Just idle speculation, of course....

This. I appreciate Inno is trying to come up with something fresh, but they have come up with a dud here. This will be the first event in my primary world that I will completely skip.

To be honest, as a proof reader I'm not really astonished about this behaviour. I know it very well from writers :) They want only have checked the book for grammar, but when you start to critisize the story at all, they will refuse to change anything of it. It's their baby and they already decided for themselves not to change it. They will insist to publish it as it is and not taking in account, that 80 pages of most negative recensions won't be very supportive for sales numbers. But if the writer is either already very famous and/or wealthy, he won't care at all. There will always be readers buying the book no matter how bad it is in the eyes of a proof writer, test reader or publisher. In the worst case they will blame the proof reader :)
So next time let's just concentrate on technical and visual bugs and relax. That's all they want from us.

Managed to login every day but skip 4 full days of actual minigame playing and still got all 10 parts :) once you get idea of this mini game it is easy but time consuming. Another bad thing is that there is NO DAILY SPECIAL. Now that's really really bad. On forge bawl I spent some diamonds (around 27k in total) to get what I want, here I do not have option to spend diamonds to get number of prizes I want. I am not very happy about that to be honest and hope that if this event will come back next year IG will update it with daily special and never will make another event without it. Even in Summer casino neighbours can, and very often do, change wheel so I have many chances to get what I want. Just my 2 cents

Guys what is the maximum level you advise for the factories? Not to waste too many shamrocks
always upgrade the highest factory only (you may need the cheaper ones for the upgrade tasks later) and only to a level where the ship is sufficiently supplied (i.e. no dry runs)

ps: the constraint here is not really the shamrocks (unless you overdo it) rather the capacity to upgrade for the late upgrade tasks.
