As many others I have a strong feeling Diplomatic Gifts relates to negotiations as HC does to combat.
But why is anyone .concerned about every second monday if it´s indeed the case? The charges doesn´t have to be used right away. Unless you have a fixed harvest time at say 8.05am. Harvesting the GB at 8.15am on a monday, should give you plenty of time to use the charges in GE tuesdays between 8.01am and 8.14am.

If it's true and the new age will have only 2 GB, then what I said about those two bonuses may start to get some shape, diplomatic good and special good are for the same GB, one passive and one active, so maybe that special goods is the active one.

How long it normally takes until new age is online after testing in beta?
For me this looks like End of the World now when SAM in final. So only thing to do is to read guesses about next age goodies.

I have bit hard core guess:

You can get 5 SAAB goodies this way:
Use 5 space age goodies as main raw material
Use 5 promethiums as 1st special good for Synthesizing
Use 5 Orichalcums as 2nd special good for Synthesizing

we'll probably see it on beta sometime march at earliest i suppose...

i do hope though we're not gonna need promethium and orichalcum to produce SAAB goods; more likely, we will use "Asteroid Ore" for this like we used "Mars Ore" for mars.

however. i do expect we may need promethium and orichalcum to produce SAM goods in SAAB era; and the buildings to produce these are basically 'copies' of the old Mars buildings, but these can now be placed in your earth-based city.

i also expect the goods costs will be much higher in SAAB era because they were extreme at the end of SAM as well.

and what will happen to the world maps? will we now get an "asteroid-ish" map added, or will there be a star system map listing earth, mars and other planets, and zoom in on Mars map when you click mars, and show the Earth/Virtual map combo when you click on earth? :)

question about upcoming age spoilers in general - does at some point info about amount and type of goods needed for research gets posted as spoiler for upcoming age or is it just images and for research stuff we need to wait for age to hit beta server?

Goods on earth are probaly artificial. Likely some type of advanced 3d printers for SA:M goodies for SA:AB
