Spoiler New Feature "Guild raids"?

In my opinion, it looks like this feature will be the central piece of next years. We will start it in IA, and next year, or maybe sooner, we will have the same with EMA.
That looks like we will have a second city with a "neo" look, just for all that players that wanted a more futuristic look for the city. At the end, will we have a "neo" look for all GB, special buildings and event buildings?
I think it's entirely possible. Perhaps it's either a semi-test run for the real endgame or it was the idea for it but reused to become a new guild feature.
To me the virtual future style alongside white and gold elements, suggest a "parelel" universe to some extend. Not sure yet what to think of it though. Also looks a bit like a hybrid between settlements and Elvenar's guild thingy where you can pick between different paths for your guild as a leader.

Maybe they want to make the buildings from the tech tree useful again after they became obsolete because of the event buildings.
They never stopped designing the newer-era buildings, even though they are never used.

In most of the space ages' regular buildings, there's also been unsurprisingly little variation in size. Ever since SAAB/SAV. I've tried on beta to continue playing with mostly regular buildings. It's disastrous with resources, even supplies and coins. The TT and other parts of the game's meta post SAM are mostly centred around event buildings. Would be a massive surprise if they wanna make regular buildings somewhat useful again all the sudden.

People are talking about that, especially based on the announcement, these buildings won't go into your city, but on a separate "place"? Something that is owned by the guild and not by the individuals? Would be an interesting addition for sure, being a brand new feature.
Probably owned by each player separately. There is that outpost map and there are graphics for impediments. I can't imagine a guild of 80 players managing one single outpost. If everybody has building rights it would become a total mess.

The thing I'm curious about is what will happen with the main guild raids map with the castle and the paths. Will we fight on the same map? And you can see your guildmates clearing encounters? With a full guild the map could be clearly in a minute and I don't think that's what Inno wants, even if you can then go to difficulty level 2.
Or does everyone have his own map like in GE? If so, then how will things proceed when player A is at red encounter 5 on difficulty level 3 and player B is at blue encounter 2 of difficulty level 7? The Guild raid officers are supposed to chose the nodes for the rest of the guild but how can they know who is where?

This might be the most anticipated or the most overhyped feature of the (next) year
Code seems to be loaded. With GE starting on Tuesday's GBG on Thursday's is this the one that starts tomorrow (Saturday)? As for anticipated... well no one I know has really shown any interest yet. Inno has been a bit greedy of late and they see this as another way to separate us from our real life money. Will it be a way for them to continue the rampant inflation of buildings? A way to require players to rebuild more at real money costs. I hope not.

After the reward buildings were posted in the spoiler threads it took around one month before GE5 was released.
The same was true for the revamp of GBG.
So, if Inno keeps the same pace the release will be one month from now.
In the case of GE5 the portraits were posted after the reward buildings. There is a good chance that we will be seeing some GR portraits in the next weeks.

A bit delayed, but raids do have their own sets of army boosts (still WIP).

..and a recharge/cooldown for actions points boost, could be one of the great building boost.

Notice how all the reward buildings have the same cyan accents. Each one of them has it. The goods producing don't have it, as far as I can see from the small pictures.
That makes me believe that these buildings are all meant for the settlement, not for our main city. Inno spends great attention to detail when it comes to graphics and theme.
There is another thing to consider: there are more icons for the attitude of the population of the settlement. The population can be "rebelling". That and impediments will prevent players from filling the outposts with tons of goods producing buildings on day one. We will have to earn Neo Winner Plaza's which will provide happiness for the population and they will only come in a trickle.

Neo Zeus is not a golden upgrade of the normal Zeus because it has a different footprint and golden upgrades never expand the footprint of a building. It would also make no sense to have two statues of Zeus in our city. So that goes in our outpost and it will provide an att/def buff, probably exclusively for GR (because the encounters are extremely difficult).
Neo Lighthouse could give a buff to the foundry, ebony mill, etc. that we have in our outpost. These goods producing buildings create guild raid goods. What are those used for? Well, there is a tooltip that says that "a guild raid officer can unlock this difficulty". In GE we need to pay with the guild treasury to unlock a difficulty level. Maybe in GR we'll have to make guild raid goods to unlock higher levels? That would make sense. I don't expect us to use them in negotiating encounters. Negotiations always use the treasury of the player. What else could we use guild raid goods for?

will be as easy as filling a new city with goods buildings
when you start the outpost with only a few "raid money" and "raid supplies"
and goods also needs them to produce

so first a few houses, then a few supply buildings
and when those produced enough money/supplies: goods can be produced

Alright, they are going down the list of GB's starting from bronze age. So Neo Colosseum is next?

Wait, there is something peculiar about the names of these 3 Neo Great Buildings:

Neo Zeus: X_SS_AllAge_GR1
Neo Lighthouse X_SS_AllAge_GE1
Neo Babel: X_SS_AllAge_GBG1

These buildings are somehow connected to Guild Expedition, Guild Battlegrounds and Guild Raids.

This is smart of Inno: are you having trouble completing GE5? Play in Guild raids and you can build a Lighthouse that will buff your stats in GE. This makes everything interconnected. Wouldn't surprise me if the Forgotten Temple will give a buff in GR too, to encourage people to play GE5.

Forge's strongest charm imho is the intention to detail for architecture. This revisioned neo-style for existing buildings is amazing. Staying faithful to their original architectural style, while combining this with an reimagined futuristic architecture. I find it admirable and inspiring.
Partly hoping the outpost will be fully buildup with such "neo" buildings. Personally I'm hopeful it'll consist of individual neo cities. Where the neo "GE" raids is the guild's cooperative part. So, the members can specialise and streamline with their guild their raid efforts. Also hopeful for some neo buildings to finding their way into our main cities. Particularly curious for the later ages' GB's.

Too bad they almost never release event buildings with futuristic designs, it is as if futuristic eras does not exist in FoE, I do not understand which is the problem about create one design for event buildings every 4 or 5 ages. . .to not create so many. Like previous tavern of friendship.

Personally I hope it is a collective guild raids map. It would be cool to see how encounters on the map are disappearing and maybe the avatar of the player who completed it shows up, like the pop-up at the top of the GE map when new points are being added. That would lead to conversations in chat like "I can't kill the next red encounter. Do we have one of our top players online who can clear that one? Help now plz!"

From a programming perspective a collective map is probably harder to make and more prone to bugs. Also, there aren't enough encounters to keep a big guild busy. That's why I think it's going to be an individual map but with a ranking list of which player completed the most encounters.
