My point is that the changes were supposed to be for GBG rebalancing
Who says rebalancing is to level up this between bigger and smaller guilds? I thought the rebalancing was needed to address the blatant farming and swapping of map sectors for more fps, which limits all other aspects of the game; lower era players hanging around in those eras with higher age units to maximise their income, and giving guilds who are making use of that a competitive advantage, compared to players with a longer play time, normal progression and bigger relative strength who are uncompetitive because of normal attrition gain; and to address the issues with ranking where league points and guild levels don’t differentiate between the top 20-40 guilds in a world, but Gvg does, while not being playable by the vast majority of players. In that sense, it very much looks like a step in the right direction

Is the matching adjusted as well? Do top ranked guilds fight against each other? Otherwise the ranking would be useless as guilds often matched together with weak guilds would be ranked higher than guilds who often have hard fights.

You all forgot about one MAJOR change.
New siege camps working as fortress - so yoi will not be able to keep secotr on 159/160
No more flag till full hour

Unfortunately, the new GBG becomes much too boring and unaffordable for small and medium guilds who have no chance anymore, because they cannot afford to spend so many goods in HQ (2X 25000- 2X 75000). Playing for 8 seasons with the same guilds becomes unpleasant, especially when the first 2 big guilds change sectors between them, and the rest will sit on the sidelines. It is possible that this change will determine the small and medium guilds that represent over 80-90% of the guilds to no longer participate in this new GBG, at best they will only do a few sporadic battles given only by a few players. The developers' choice was that the new changes favor only 10% of the guilds.

And well, keeping flag in 159/160 is not problem for anyone. If you want to go from HQ FORCE THEM TO CLOSE, than you have some more points.

keeping flag 159/160 is only meant for war sessions, In swap session it is only so both guilds close sector in the same time. There are many oportunities to WIN SECTORS WITH THEM.

On war sessions closing sector on59;59 is mega important cuz it gives you one more extra points from sector (you get points 5 times, not 4 times)
 
The buildings that can be placed on the base contain the possibility of boosting victory points. Does this refer to this sector alone, or to all sectors that a guild holds for accounting purposes?
 
2 Buildings in HQ looks a Bit overpowered. After 150k Goods all sectors give +200% Victory Points. If you want to win, you have to pull the same. It's going to be a fierce battle of the goods.

every 2 weeks the opponents change (like in the past)

If they wanted to stop farming why didn't they just limit the daily number of fights each player can do? They could have capped it at 1000, 800 or 600 fights per player without reinventing the wheel. No one would be able to get 20-25k per season which was ridiculous on its own but 6-10k fights which seems acceptable?
