The problem is, that most of beta forum users are "high-end-players", who won't miss the Event-Hub as they don't need some extra coins or supplies, while the low age players, who might profit from the Hub are rarely contributing to beta forum.

The rewards could still exist without the pier which by the way is still broken...

I for one don't agree with leaving it there. I don't like useless things in my city. Don't get me wrong, it's cute and the animations are fun, but it's just kind of frustrating having it sit there while it is inactive. As was pointed out there is information coming down in every refresh of every player's city to populate the information and download the building graphics and animation over and over across 10's of thousands of players every day multiple times a day...it's a waste of database calls and bandwidth. For efficiency/conservation sake why not disable it from the game for now?

How did you think how it will be received when it is actually useless, offers no important information and no advantages.
 
The EN forum has posted a announcement saying they will on the 10th. So if that’s any indication, then it shouldn’t be too long before other servers do as well
That would be good, I think.
Either update it for 2022, or remove it.
Keeping it with 2021 simply looks silly.

just put awesome boosts in it and players would LOVE it
- 7 days all productions are 20% faster (including GB)
- 7 days all FP buildings (except GB) will be boosted by 20%
- 7 days total attack boost is increased by 20%: NOT +20% 1000%->1020%) but *1.2 (1000%->1200%)
- 7 days: -20% attrition in GBG
- 7 days: all negotiations will need 2 different goods less (the goods you select from not the amount. if you now have to choose from 4 goods then it only would be 2)
....

and how about making it even better:
let the player decide which boost they will activate
(and not give them a boost they don't need for their playing style)

would be an AWESOME feature
