new player will never catch up anyway, even if you gives 4 soks to new players, old players will get the same too anyway...

and don't rely on sok to catch up, how about rely on playing wisely....

Of course (irrelevant surely, but if they ever start doing that, I'm done with this game).
But doesn't it occur to you that it is extremely difficult to achieve anything on the wheel without tickets which Inno very cleverly wants us to buy with diamonds?
Some people argue that they have completed the set(s) with pure luck. Luck is a different thing, and I firmly believe that no event should ever require luck.

no luck is needed... main building and two towers are given for free, all you need are the two decos...
with (total) over 50 tickets, getting two decos is super easy.

all you need is play it smart and not wasting it

Yes you can win SoKs - but i wouldn't recommend planning on winning many. They show up every 10-15 wheels maybe, and there's one of them per wheel so unless you're watching the wheel for others refreshes it's unlikely you'll get it.

The sets are more common and a better buy overall - One 8x4 set gives 6 FP (not much worse than 8 FP in SoKs) in 5 wins, doesn't require motivation, and if you get a 2nd palace, eastern palace tower, and either one of the decos - then you get 12 FP from 14x4 (vs 14 FP in SoKs in that area) - throw in road savings (from needing roads on both sides of the SoKs vs one side of the palace) and a double palace set is a good replacement for SoKs. You'll be rewarded 1 palace and a pair of towers from the 8x4 set just for finishing the quests so you're 2 decos from your first set to boot. If FP is your only goal, i'd recommend you go after the set and find the space.

In short to get an extra 12 FP a day from this event you need to win:
2 Maharaja Palaces (1 off wheel, 1 from quest)
2 Eastern Palace Towers (1 off wheel, 1 from quest)
1 Western Palace Tower (from quest)
1-2 Bandar Playground (from wheel)
1-2 Maharajah's Jungle Pond (from wheel).

That's a total of 5 wheel wins and only one of them a rare one and a reasonable alternative to trying to win 'lots of SoKs' - if i had to i'd remove some of my SoKs to fit it in fwiw as well - a bunch of SoKs popping at the same time is a royal pain to getting fully polished as it takes in my case 10 hours before all the SoKs stop sucking all the aid up. Sets are worth a small premium in space and nuisance to acquire in avoiding that.

You can also further extend that with every 3 additional wins (one rare and 2 common) being another 5-6 FP a day as long as the length of your city is enough to accomodate continuing a chain of palaces :)

Why everyone keeps saying 8x4, when it is 4x8?
Correct full kit size is 4x8

Thanks for the math, indeed building a (partial) second set would give only 2 fps less than 14 SoKs, and considering that those are so scarce and almost impossible to get, it might be a good alternative. My concerns are though, that the Maharaja Palace can be plundered, so we could easily lose 5 (10) fps. It also requires a particular set up, i.e. 14x4 so not easy to fit. Not sure yet if I'd go for it on live but definitely worth considering.

Wrong.
A new player can catch up with the top if they get SOK's enough.

I believe that is just an aesthetic way of putting the larger number ahead and the lesser number behind. It makes no difference either way if you've looked at the image of the whole set (available on the announcement).

If you place the set like in the picture of it, then the size is 8x4... compare with Alcatraz its 10x7, the top left side of the building is taken first (or the bottom right side if you like)
You can build the set 4x8 though, but it would look wrongly placed :)
Look at any building in your menu, and you can see what side (or sides) the first number is taken from.

Really? it can be build and get all the bonus with 8x4? can you show me please?

Just build it like it´s shown in the picture and you get the bonus, and that´s 8x4, are you trying to troll here? it´s pretty clear how to build it 4x8 and get the bonus aint it?
The buildings you place on the sides, just goes in the top and bottom of the main building to build it 4X8

Using the game's ordering for building dimensions (as someone else pointed out), the set is indeed 8x4 - similarly, Alcatraz is 10x7. If you think of Alcatraz as being 7x10, that's just a matter of you listing out building sizes 'flipped' compared to how the game does it. In any case though, you can simply look at the picture in the announcement of the completed set and move the buildings on the sides of the palace to the top and the bottom of the palace in order to flip the dimensions. It won't look as visually appealing, but functionally it'll work the same way.

Of course new players deserve the goodies as well. One thing does not exclude the other.
The problem is that Innogames have now changed the rules for sucess in the game. What other players managed to BUY at last event is not possible at this event - since Inno has eliminated the chance of winning SOK's by 75%. The possibility to win SOK's has always been there with 4 at a time at the wheel. Everybody that play this game and have done it several years know how difficult it can be. Now you have made it impossible with only 1 SOK at the wheel.
And therefor it's impossible to compete with the players that did get them last time. They have such an advantage with all their SOK's that it will NEVER be any possibility to catch up.
It would have been possible with this event - if Innogames did not change the rules. Me and many others did COUNT on this summer event to excel.

Do you understand? You have changed the rules. It's extremly unfair to all your players that counted on this event that has been THE TOP EVENT for many years.
Innogames have robbed us of getting success - on the same terms as the other players.
So if I would continue the game, it will be as an disabled...

You're way too hung up on SoKs. The entire game isn't about those. And there are numerous events throughout the year to get them, as well as other prizes that are also useful. The Casino has never been an event in which you can 'buy' prizes...it's a casino! And real-life casinos are far less generous than this one is. As I said in an earlier post, are you for some reason entitled to always win in this one because it's virtual prizes instead of real money? How's that work? Luck is a central theme of this event, as it is in real life. If you want to outright buy prizes, you can do it during the Carnival, Fall, and Winter events.

I fully understand the need to sell diamonds, but this event is going to tank sales. The prizes are so bad and the tickets so scarce that THE WHEEL IN MY HOOD HAS NOT MOVED FOR OVER TWO HOURS. NO ONE WANTS TO REFRESH OR TAKE THE LAST OF THE GARBAGE. Too bad. I have spent diamonds on summer and other events in the past, but there is nothing worth a ticket, much less diamonds.

Update: The wheel is untouched for 4 hours and counting. No one wants the crap and with so few tickets, they don't want to refresh for a mystery prize. This is the worst Summer event ever, maybe the worst event of all.
