Wow, it's pretty buff, now they became better very well. Now the Hover Hammer gives slightly better matchup vs Nail Storms. Now they will win in battle vs SAM units very well. They have now better Keen Eye skill.

Just added champion, it got the biggest buffs

Wow, the Champion has super buff. Now the SAAB Champion is not useless unit, because they have now big improved stats compared to SAM Champion. Now the SAAB Champion survives many shots from Nail Storms very well and will win in battle vs Nail Storms and Hover Hammers very well. The SAAB Champion is now heavily armored very well

:eek: - interesting and great thing if champpions get some use!!!
 
Overall great changes, don't have anything to complain now regarding this new Era except for certain performance issues that seem to have gotten even worse which leads me to very much hope them to be high up on the priority list of issues to fix. :)

Im not gonna assume too much, but the age looks close to being released to the live server, after these good changes.

Nice changes!

Before the rebalance it was possible to win almost all asteroid age GEX battles up to level 4 with Mars units and Autobattle (all battle LBs around level 73). I will try again, how far I can come with Mars Autobattle - and next week I will try with Asteroid Units.

BTW: Very nice spice up for Champions - at least one era (except TOMORROW era and the eras below industrial age) where they are not just crap (or Champignons)!

Contact only works if the unit is in range and not against units with dragon breath.
So the only difference for melee units with contact compared to normal retaliation is that it works multiple times in one turn.

Considering that most troops are ranged it will only help against fast units of the current era.

Drill needs more range to be more usefull, now it lose hitpoints before reach opponent...

After taking a look at the current stats I am still not sure if this will be enough:
Fast units: They are still loosing their range which means you cant hit enemy troops in round 1 which is a big factor. With enough attack bonus I will still prefer the old ones.

Heavy units: Loosing their range and force field While close combat is useless if you are fighting with 200+ attack/defense bonus on both sides. Also they might get hammered very badly by VF artillery.

Ranged: Those guys will be pretty OP with their high range considering that most other troops have low range. They have attack bonus against artillery and light, can hit fast units before they get hit back and under usual conditions of having more attack bonus than defense bonus they will also hit heavy units very hard because they are so slow.

Artillery: Well it gets some stats, but I dont think it will be worth it. Better take range instead.

the belts have more initiative than rocket troops
