Reaching SAM on new beta account?

Is there some method of quick progression on the beta so that anyone can join and test the latest features?

That would be a reasonable alternative assuming once copied they'd be two completely separate cities.

Would you be proposing it's a once off? Or that you could over ride the Beta city and switch to another live server city duplicate every so often?

Certainly not unlimited, but probably more than a once off. It might be a second beta world that only temporarily exists and gets reset when there's a new major piece of content to be tested and you have to pick a city to copy across again at that time.

Main issue is beta and live accounts aren't actually linked in this game (every region and beta has its own accounts and someone with a handle on one is not necessarily the same person as someone with the same handle on another region).

Maybe with every new content regarding new era or new GB there should be created temporary world with already fixed basic city in last era available to everyone? It would somehow be artificial, but maybe better that way than no way at all? More testers of big chunk of new content right away.

I'm reading some interesting ideas here, such as this one :)

Although I have no idea if these new ideas are feasible, please keep providing feedback!

In general, as has been pointed out in this thread before by some of you

New content is often NOT limited to a new age only :
• We have events, special buildings, changes in the Tech Tree, etc. that may affect any age/era.
• PLUS: new Age-content may affect other ages as well (e.g. new Great Buildings :p - other things may also influence previous ages).

Therefore feedback is needed from ALL ages.

Indeed you get feedback for the low age - but when you add a new age - do you expect to radiate downwards?

I would think that even for the beta test of new ages, it would still be necessary to have things tested out by those in lower ages. For instance, how easy/difficult is it to acquire the new GBs? How does the change in goods economy affect VF goods or AF goods? There may be any number of items that affect game play for those of lower ages.

Although, it may not hurt to have the ability to temporarily transfer in a city from a live server, particularly if those cities come from a variety of ages. One advantage is that the user would have a ready comparison with which to judge the effects of the new age.

I think the idea would apply just to Beta, be able to start the beta account with a city just like one selected by the player from the live worlds (preferably the most advanced one). Once started then there would be two independent cities, that at time = 0 they were exact duplicates; but after starting playing at Beta, and continuing playing at the live server, the cities would gradually start to differentiate, due to players choices at each ones, different rewards being won at each site, winning special buildings at Beta that are not yet available at live servers, etc.
