Feedback Guild Battlegrounds Update 2023

Guild Level * 25 + GBG MMR * 18 + GvG holdings
Essentially though GvG holdings was the only part of it that varied widely with all 1000-diamond guilds getting the same 18000 points. And even platinum guilds only being a few thousand behind.

Guild Prestige is included in the ranking, and that does not come from only GvG.
I really would like to hear from a game admin or see official documentation on how the previous guild rankings were calculated.
ETA: Found something, that Prestige is the part that is calculated from GvG + Prestige bonus from guild level. So that is part of what you stated.

To further clarify on GvG
A tile tells you how many crown’s it’s worth.
Add the tile value of every tile in GvG. Top 3 Guilds for each Age map get a % boost on their total for that map. 1st (+15%), 2nd (+10%) and 3rd (+5%)
However, if you open up the maps ranking the game already calculates the total prestige for that age map, including the 1st-3rd place boost

Devs never told players how to calculate GbG prestige. Players worked that out

Guild Prestige is the *only* thing that is included in the ranking, it is what's being ranked - anything that says *prestige* in game is where it's documented - and other than GBG's share the other two sources are documented in game. Those are the only 3 sources of it. GBG's share can be found in the feedback thread at GBG launch I believe.
The other thing people often get confused with is *Crowns* - which also come from GE and certain city buildings. Only in GvG does prestige = crowns generated daily. Other sources of prestige convey no crowns with it and other sources of crowns convey no prestige. Crowns do not directly add to prestige (ranking) in any way. Technically it levels the guild and then the guild level adds to prestige, but that's it.

So, since Prestige will no longer be included in ranking, guild level will not matter. And GE wins or scores already do no nothing.
GBG is now the only thing that a guild is ranked by, and GBG rankings are messed up and illogical.
Not saying that using GvG in ranking made sense either, just saying that things are not any better now.

The ranking list will remain the same, but GvG will no longer appear in it. The ranking list will be determined by the guild level and the league in GbG. Maybe the new feature will also bring in prestige points in the future.

Guild level is not used in the current Guild ranking. It is based only on GBG ranking.
After GvG is done, they said they will freeze the old ranking as it is at the time.
GE victories tell potential new members how active the guild is, specifically in GE

The Guildelevel is giving Prestige and the GbG ist giving Prestige

The new guild ranking is based on GBG only, not on prestige.
It is based on League Points, Victories and Victory Points for the current Championship - 6 seasons.
After 6 seasons guild rank resets to 0 and starts again for the next Championship.

I got a reply back from support. It is just about what you have, with one addition:
"Guild Level: Level x 25
Guild Battlegrounds: Officially there is no published data on this.
- Unofficially players have worked it out to be 18 x LP (League Points)
- If you open up the ranking for each map in GvG the game will tell you how much Prestige your Guild is getting for that map. The prestige shown will automatically include the bonus for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
That last part may be what I was seeing as members came and went. If we were tied, it may have bumped us up or down in the ranks.

So... the first GBG Championship season (6 seasons) on Beta has completed and a new one has started. All guild ranks were reset to 0. The ranking is now starting over with VP from this season.
All of the effort and expense from the last championship means... nothing. The only remnant is a "1" in the Wins column for the guild that was #1.
I don't understand why any guild even tries. Only 1 gets the win, and everyone in most worlds knows that will be one of a few guilds. How have these changes helped? What incentive is there for guilds to improve? At least the old ranking was always there, and a guild who cared about rank could continually work to make it better.
This game is about more than just GBG. Why is that the only factor in the guild rankings?
Inno has killed competition between guilds. It only matters now between the top few guilds in each world.

If not else, the rewards you get for winning individual GBG rounds (championship tower).
Before GBG was about, for the most part, farming, there was pretty much 0 competition between guilds. If anything, this change just increased competition.

That only applies to the top guilds in Diamond league.
There used to be some competition in ranking among guilds that were not quite that high, but still very good.

White rabbits again got a ultra easy super round, RNG in their favor so far.

MG, what nonsense! Do you have to get into the dead group to lead in the championship? Previous wins don't affect the ranking?
