Hello Beta Testers,

The Beta Server has been updated to version 1.40. This update introduces testing of 2 new features - Aid and Treasure Hunt, along with some minor bugfixing and improvements. All active accounts have now been credited with 500 diamonds.

With this changelog we are once again running a changelog regression mission (found here) which includes both new features.

Thank you for your continued assistance in testing Forge of Empires!

New Features:
Aid
You can now polish or motivate a random (almost) building in the city of another player by simply clicking a button below his portrait on the social bar. This will not require visiting the city. Attack button in the social bar has been moved to a small button and the Aid button is now in place of the previous Attack button:

  • Aid button automatically motivates or polishes a building of the respective player without visiting him.
  • How exactly does the order of aid work? It's a very simple system:
    1. The following special buildings (most recent age) are prioritized:

      Oasis
      Shrine of Knowledge
      Tiger's Den

    2. If there are no such buildings available to polish/motivate, the feature will randomly choose either polish or motivate action (50/50 chance) and apply it on a random building from the most recent age. If there is nothing to polish or motivate (depending on what was chosen), the Aid feature will go one age down (and further if needed) to find such a building. If there is no building at all that could be improved with the chosen action, the other one comes in and the feature starts seeking a suitable building from the most recent age.
  • You will also find the Aid button in the Event history - if someone helped you, you can instantly return their kindness.
  • It is still possible to visit a player and choose which action to do and which building to polish/motivate. Which way will you choose? This is entirely up to you!

Treasure Hunt
The Treasure Hunt is a completely new feature, accessed via the icon on the left of your city screen. It has the following features:
  • Each step of the treasure gives a reward after a certain time
  • When the reward is collected in time the treasure hunt goes on
  • When the reward is not collected in time the treasure hunt starts again from the beginning
  • Only active after Cultivation is researched

Improvements/changes
  • The game registration form has been made easier to use
  • Idle buff should also be displayed for Good buildings again
  • [Battle] Unit tooltip should only display "click to attack" if the unit is really attackable
  • [City] The buttons in popup window for residential buildings has been changed to green and now reads "Continue Production"

  • [Goods] City hall & Market - Fixed an issue where too long good names were either cut off or left their allotted space
