Why we have this Beta Server!?

Can someone answer the question? I not, because the only reason, why someone need a beta server is testing, but here is not anybody testing, because ALL Bugs are set in the produtive servers!

Well, since the Missions have come out, most of the bugs found on there have been fixed ;)
The problem is the time from the beta server to the live servers: it isn't large enough for the devs to spot the cause of the bug and fix it before it reaches the other servers

because is for huge and urgent bugs like main crush and s!@#. for exemple, if this server are not exit wall worlds whit the new event will have 6000 medals for 125 cups, or when the premium expansion was free etc.

Design is not very hard to do ( although it is a hard work and creative work ), the most diffculties are

1. De-bug any error in running the program (e.g. soccer event )
a. error in typing something or clarification
b. error in design...e.g. beta-player point out 125 cup to buy ?000 medal in post-modern era. Some player has bough million of medal which is sufficent for whole guild to do expansion.
c. error in design... in past, game developer push out a large confectionary if player trade for old 1. In fact, some player do not have...
d. logic flow... some scout mission cannot be carry out w/o capture a provinces 1st... this soccer event has introduce "alternative quest" in some quest
...etc

In short, Game developer has used a tech---using this "beta server", by invite more players to do de-bug-ger ...de-bug error in the design. Game developer has design the event. But they cannot do all the debug. After the initial debug, game developer believe there is no more bug. They release the event . But b4 they release it to game world, they release it to "beta-world" to get more de-bugger to de-bug all the remaining bugs. In beta-world, we run the events from 1st to end, so we all feel any problem < in fact, some player feel it is a bug, some do not feel it is a bug , so some bug is skipped like that >

there is a "feed-back" on "mission"....there are many player report bugs

If they do not report the "bug", there will have tons of bug in game world
However, there are many player who come in beta world, do not report the bugs
apart from this, The end of event in beta world, sometimes, later than the start of event in game world
this also cause some of the bug....

That is why
There is still some bugs in game world

But why bugs reach the servers? If you know them you must not set them in the servers!!

Maybe they don't know them and need to find them to take them away.
The Beta server does that: it displays a new feature, sees how it works and what needs polishing and then they release it. One can't find all rough edges, so there are a few bugs who run free to the world servers; then they are detected and with the next update they are erradicated.

Please read what Byeordie said on this... I feel there is a lot of thruth in that answer.

However, what I would like to add from my limited  programming/debugging experience:
• IMHO there is no software in existence that is 100% bugfree or even 90% LOL.
• Often it will not be possible to set some 'bugs' apart from the total programming within certain timeframes.

In other words and in my view:
Each time when releasing a new version Inno (as any software developer) has to take in consideration what is more important:
the benefits of a new version vs bugs that have not been solved yet / bugs that cannot be solved immediately without affecting other features as well.

This Beta server exists because the Beta-community provides a combination of all kinds of different circumstances - e.g. different hardware, internet connections, OS's, etc. etc., PLUS feedback related to that - which is essential to evaluate the impact of software changes on players IRL.

As Beta community we are indispensable because of the variety of hardware/OS we use AND the feedback we supply.

Please note that I am talking here about 'technical' changes.

Game-changes are a different issue and such changes usually require more feedback from live servers / FoE-players all over the world.

This being said as a player ;)

Can you explain why?

Why are people still asked to give feedback on harebrained ideas when in the end it will go to the live servers no matter what?

Why is it that , if we are indespensable as a beta community, it takes days to get an answer on a support ticket, where on the live servers you get an answer in a couple of hours?
