What is going on with this:

Well, something quite odd has been happening these last three days. Only on Beta, after I spend my fp my population goes up 90. This is very strange. I mean, why? Here's the trick. After it increases, I can't hover over the population number and see how many population I have in total and how many free population I have.
BUT. Whenever I close and do something else and re-enter my Beta account, my population's back to normal. Then I spend my fp and it increases.
Explanation??
I'm not complaining about anything, it's just weird and I wanted to know what's going on.
