Do multiple watchfires add together? Two watchfires boost 8% and so on?

is there any significance to the flame on the Watchfire Tower?
i just noticed that the flame is burning on the towers in my city but when i visit neighbors for p/m the flame was out.
any difference in defense protection for example? flame lit or out?

That's probably because the flame is animated, and animations are currently turned off when visiting other people's cities (due to Flash problems). I highly doubt there's a difference.

i haven't noticed that animations are off when visiting neighbors, but that's great solution for flash player. Nice job for the developers :D
