Some improvements, fixes and the first audio impression

  • Generic: Size of Flash client reduced, the game should load much faster now.
  • Generic: Background music will now start playing when you enter the game. You can enable/disable it by clicking on the speaker-symbol at the bottom left. There will be random background sounds depending on the era (e.g. a flute starts playing, someone coughs,...)
  • City: In the bar at the bottom of the page, the list of other players you'll see will change for most players, you will now always see the same 80 neighbours, including yourself. Before this update you'd see the top 80 due to a bug.
  • City: Happiness calculation was wrong under certain circumstances.
  • City: Close construction menu before the start of every tutorial
  • Quests: Removed possible dead end in quest "Look Around"
  • City: Added a won/lost-field to the battle history.
  • Research: The tooltips of the icons for the reward of new technologies now show more details. For example, when the technology would unlock a new building, you'll see its productions times etc. - basically, the same information you can see in the production menu.
  • Research: There's now a real icon for roads.
  • City: Toolstips for idle buildings will now not always be "Click to produce supplies" but change according to the building type.
  • Continent Map: Seven new provinces have been added.
  • City: Producing 1 good with angry citizens yielded an outcome of 0. You will now always get at least 1 good.
  • City: Names of production options in some Goods Buildings have been changed
  • City: Sometimes there were "floating" citizens, e.g. they still moved along the streets but their animation was frozen.
  • City: Multi-story houses have been rebalanced.
  • Quests: Replace ##CITYNAME## with the actual name of the city.
  • Neighbours: Show your neighbours' real city names and now your own name.
  • Battle: When hovering over an enemy unit, there's now a tooltip showing how much damage your currently active unit would deal, as well as the bonus or penalty your unit will get when attacking that unit.
  • Battle: When hovering over a tile which is either rock, forest, hills or bushes, you will see how much bonus your unit will get when standing on that tile while attacking another unit.
  • Continent Map: After having infiltrated the sector of a province, the enemy units will have 10% less hitpoints.
  • Continent Map: Tooltips for army units of infiltrated sectors now show the unit's name.
  • Continent Map: When you conquer a province sector, you will now get a reward.
  • Generic: There are now completely new avatars.
  • City: Fixed population calculation. Under certain circumstances, the population was calculated incorrectly. If you were affected, you'd get a server error when placing a new building, claiming you didn't have enough population.
