A 20% chance does not mean you will win that prize 1 out of 5 times. Each time you go for that prize the odds reset, they are not cumulative. It's not 1 our of 5 the first time you try, and then 1 out of 4 the next. You could go for a 20% prize dozens of times and never get it, just as you could roll a 6 sided dice 50 times and never roll a given number.
