New, really new event quests!

Event quests (especially historic questlines) are so boring, when you already did some events. Please offer NEW quests.

Some suggestions (please leave others in the answers):

- Lose a fight without retreat.
- Win a fight with x damage points in total.
- Win a fight with losing x units.

- Have exactly xxx Stone
- Collect exactly xxx supplies in one minute.
- Have exactly xxx Happiness.
- polish an obelisk at a guild member
- Move the town hall at the edge OR Move the town hall away form the edge (depending from where it is before)
- Write x players a message
- Use exactly xxx coins/supplies (using too much will force you to break the quest).

or funny quests:

- Sell town hall.
(When you try, you get the answer "Haha, you do everything, you are told." and the quest is fulfilled.)
- Chase birds. (Fulfilled by clicking outside the town, for example).
- Draw a heart with streets (For Valentines quest e.g.).

etc. etc. etc.

Just PLEASE take the name INNOgames a bit more serious.

- polish an obelisk at a guild member
I think this could be incredibly annoying. You'd have to find an obelisk first. And it's even possible that no guild member would have one.
But in general the ideas are good :).

You'd have to find an obelisk first.
Or better, you ask a guild member to build one, you can polish. That encourages people to communicate, which seems to be a goal of Inno or simply makes the game more interesting.

Solve an encounter in GE.
There should be an alternative, or the quest have to come on a monday, because otherwise you have to wait for a week, when you are not in a guild or changed it short ago.
But I like it anyway.

A quote of my post on the Dev Blog:
...
Although having no problems [again] with the tasks, it’s sad to see that you still are not willing to add alternatives to taking sectors/ provinces, scouting new ones, or unlocking technologies.
FoE offers a variety of styles to play it – it would be a great treat to let all players take part in the events without forcing them into something.

I know, the quest engine is quite limited – improving it could offer a lot more options; one first thought could be mini-games to be solved in order to progress (eg. theme adopted versions of Tic Tac Toe, Battleships, Connect Four, Pairs (Memory®), .. all of them with fairly easy algorithms/ available source code)

These quests need to be one-off abortable quests, not repeat quests. There are already far too many repeat quests once you reach the endgame and there should be fewer, not more!

Sounds great, I support this, the event minigames, but don't make the same mistake
as by Cartuga for the daily bonus for that game :p that was way to hard.xd

A event map can be maybe something for the do something with provinces (scout, conquer, etc)
with maybe a event battlefield and the negotiate system of GE. You can bring a complete event
story line on this map. It's maybe possible to place an event map in the worldmap. After the event
the map can't visit by players and will be reset untill the next event apear. I know it's a bit heavy,
but it can maybe improve the events a lot and solve the problem for players how did make to
much progress in the map (to much for them self:p). Just similar with GvG and GE. GE resets
every week, but this will reset when the event end. Maybe even with some event units of
that event, that we can not own. Suggestions for this:
1.) Visit the event map (like the winter event's minigame/GE)
2.) Do a event minigame (Exegghead's idea)
3.) Scout the first event province
4.) Move the townhall (idea of Emperor123)
5.) Send the ship or send the captain of treasure hunt
6.) Write X players (idea of Emperor123)
7.) Solve a event sector without fight (Maybe even with a kind of minigame)
etc.
This makes the history quest lines even better. You can make a advanture in the
style of the history quest and face the problems of the people of the history quest
line. If you visit the event map if there is no event you see a map with clouds and
get the warning ''there is no event running yet, please come back during an event.''

3.) Scout the first event province

Would be ABOUT TIME that one of the bonus maps*) (Colonial age, Progressive era, Modern era, Postmodern era, Contempory era, Tomorrow era, Future era, Arctic Future) will be unlocked. And with all these historical questlines.... How about combining the bonus maps (those which are not yet unlocked) with a historical questlines which fit to the respectie eras? (well, might be tricky with the newest eras, but... how about someone who was famous around 2000 for contempory era, some recent famous man or woman for Future era, and ... hmmm.... Erik the Red for Arctic Future? (and - guessing from the images of buildings in the spoinler thread - if the upcoming era is an Oceanic era, how about the Tale of Atlantis for the bonus map of this era?)

*) This wouldn't be an "event" in the sense of a happening which comes only once at a certain time - it would rather be a happening which would occur as soon as the player has conquered the "regular" map of the respective era.

Well, in most guild you'd just have to ask for help and most members would plant a couple... keep in mind that these are the same players who for example donate regularly hundreds or even thousands of goods from GE or GvG...
