Greetings Beta
,

As previously mentioned we've been working on some GvG-related improvements to prevent some of the unwanted behaviors that have been reported by you. While we are still working on these and there are more such changes to come, tomorrow we will get the first one.

Starting tomorrow, once a guild releases a specific sector, that guild will no longer be able to attack or capture that same sector again until the next day (after recalculation has taken place). They can of course still continue with GvG activities the same day outside of that sector.

Please give us your feedback at this linked thread!

Sincerely,
Your Forge of Empires Team

Greetings Beta,

With Monday's daily update of Beta, two more changes to GvG behavior will be introduced.

  • Placing a siege will cost units.
Some of the long-time players will remember that initially in GvG it was required that you select and use units when placing a siege. This is a reintroduction of that behavior.

The game system will no longer provide the units for any siege. Every player will have to select units from their own armies, and those units will be 'used' in GvG (meaning they will no longer be part of your armies - just as it happens when you place units in defense slots).

  • When a player joins/creates a new guild, he/she will only be able to do military-related GvG actions once 96 hours have passed since their last military-related GvG action in another guild.
Whenever someone joins/creates a new guild and tries to do any military-related GvG actions (placing a siege, placing defending armies, attacking an existing siege, granting freedom to a sector, etc.) the game will check if they've done any such actions in another guild in the last 96 hours. If they have, a message will be shown that they've supported another guild in the last 96 hours, they're unable to perform this action at that time and should try at a later time.

This rule will be applied to most GvG-related actions, with the exception of donating goods. There will be no such restriction on donating goods to the guild treasury.
