This is the second event that I was unable to get a full set of buildings despite my best efforts. The sets are great until you can't complete one, then they become a bummer. Perhaps that is by design, but for me it makes me less likely to participate in future quests that rely on luck.

Oh well... good to see that 303 messages of feedback haven't gone waste.

And though I hate to admit It, I did notice in general that my prize turnout for this year was comparatively better than previous years.

A few bugs still need to be sorted out though. What about wheels in which a prize is repeated in 2 forms? One as a green ring one and one as a silver ring one?

Please leave any feedback on the Summer Event 2017 in this thread.
You can find all the details on the event here.
This was my first summer event and the buildings looked very nice. I had a few issues/concerns though. I almost collected all the buildings for both quest but tickets simply didn't helped getting the buildings needed to collect. I know the event was set up casino style where you you take a chance on the wheel and luck has to definitely be on your side and you have to act fast before someone spins the wheel again and your chances of getting that building go away. It was harsh getting the buildings and I think that more tickets should have been put in the wheel for more chances of winning.
The other issue/concern I have is that when this event goes live, the research a Technology quest will be a problem once more. I am thankful for some of the solutions that were taken concerning this matter but the issue I will have and many other will have too is that almost all my maps are in the Bronze Age and we have to either research a Technology or donate 400 goods to the treasury. I have no problems donating, but the problem is that to collect those goods in the Bronze Age is like fighting spearfighters with tanks. It takes too long to sell your little stockpile of Bronze Age goods to the marketplace because you will be out of luck if your guild can't help or your neighbors don't need those goods and then you will be force to wait till someone buys your goods and then you missed a couple of days playing the event trying to collect those 400 goods just so you can donate it to the guild. We all have our gamestyle of playing FOE and my gamestyle is staying in Bronze Age because I'm enjoying the game at my pace and I feel that I don't have to rush to the next age and since I have no more Technology to research, I will be not able to to participate in future events if we are asked to donate goods to our guild treasury . For higher level players donating this goods means nothing to them, but to us who are in the lower ages, donating this much means that we will have a harder time on finishing this and future events if we can't come up with this crazy amount of goods. In order to be fair across all ages, I suggest that you give us more options that will make it possible to finish the event and not rage and stop playing until event is over. I would rather buy forge points than waste my time trying to collect 400 goods knowing that I won't be able to finish the event because it won't be easy to do so when members of your guild or neighborhood are not interested in buying what you have to offer .
Lastly, the buildings are beautiful but you guys have done nothing to help out with the expansion issues! Every event the buildings are nice but they keep getting bigger and bigger and there is no space for them. Can we start winning them in prizes?? Or better yet give us more medals and lower the medal count for the expansion grids. In Bronze Age I get maybe 5 medals once a month if I'm lucky and I have to have 3000 medals in order to unlock an expedition, not fair, I say, so please helps us make this and all future events more enjoyable by making it fair across all ages. I don't have $$ to buy diamonds, but I make the time to spend in FOE and if I can't play the events because of these goods situation, I don't want to go elsewere since I invested alot of time in all my live maps. I'm not angry, just concerned and I hope you hear me out. Thank you for listening to my and maybe to others having the same issue/concern regarding this matter, take care, bye.

The amount of tickets available from some quests was slightly reduced, but with the addition of the town hall ticket, there are now more tickets available in total.
nice :)

how much reduced? there were 13 double tickets in the quests so at worst we will have -13 ticket less from questline and +14(?) from town hall (therefore something between +1 and +13 - something even will be lost because the town hall daily shift and the begin/end time of the event)

I agree with hexb that the guild contribution requirement should be scaled to age. As far as my own issue with gaining full sets, I would suggest some alternative ways of completing a set, specifically, I would love to be able to trade with other players a building I have doubles of for one that I am missing (like we can trade goods). Or maybe I could trade two for one like blueprints.

I'd like to know an actual number. On average, how many more tickets do we actually get during the event? The above sentence is true for 1 more ticket in total but also true for 10 or 15 more tickets in total. Wording it like that without actually mentioning numbers makes me think that almost nothing has really changed.

I don't have an exact number at this time but I will try and find out. What is important is that there are now more tickets available in total than there was before.

A certain prize can overlap in two categories. If you think of them as groups of rewards, then one item can appear in two groups (the easiest way to explain it is if you think of the chests that existed in some past events, where one prize item could be offered in two different chests).

A small change based on this scheme... instead of the sacred sky watch, one might use 2 additional easter towers (with 1 road cost each) or 2 SoKs

In that example some towers are not connected with a road, in the middle, but
good work for a huge fp farm.

lol ...

https://prnt.sc/fm490y

in the screenshot the wheel shows urban island 3 times; twice as green and once as silver ...which means up to 10 urbans can be gained from it.

""I would like to also provide a few more comments related to the overall balancing of this year’s Summer Event: The aim was to have the content of wheels more attractive on average. As some of you may remember from the last year, it wasn’t an uncommon situation to have several wheels of less-desired prizes and then once a super desirable wheel full of great rewards. We really wanted to improve it this year, hence the introduction of the “tiers” of rewards (rare, uncommon and common)""

IMO it miserably failed -- maybe the wheel in past had less attractive prizes but in 1 or 2 turns we could get to better ones and had several attempts to get them. Now -- 1st time in my in 3 years that I play this game - I did not win a single SoK or any other prizes that I wanted. It is impossible to get to them unless I get glued to the wheel and wait until someone turns to it for a single shot chance to get it! And the fact that there was no barracks was very disappointing. Finally those boost kits -- really? they are sprinkles and pretty much useless items!

It´s a 3 week event, so that would make it +21 from Town Hall. And the announcement says "some" quests was reduced. So I guess there still will be a few quests giving 2 tickets. So despite loosing a bit of time each day collecting from Town Hall, we should see an increase in tickets of at least 10-ish?

about the boost? nice addition. Do their bonuses stack? If I had 4 boosts providing 5% attack each and i use them all at once then do I get 20% attack bonus for a given amount of time?

The wheel wasn't too bad. I finally came across the last elephant piece which happened to be the main piece and got it allowing me to finally complete both the sets.
I did go on to try another set for both sets and to get that last indian palace piece (western tower i think) i spent diamonds to get 20 tickets. Luckily we get free diamonds here so no worries there ;) ... still have 17 tickets left tho few of those were from the last couple of quests. :p
Apart from that i did get few more of certain pieces from both sets, some boosts and other stuff.

Overall not bad since there wasn't anything else in particular I was going for so I decided to see if I could get both of the sets at least once.

We just added the ability to collect 1 ticket per day from your town hall.
I think that's a great decision. I personally don't have an interest in either set for my live server city (too big) but those that do want them will now have a better chance.

Well you guys know your business, all about the diamonds. The daily tickets are a good start but I think that people will consider the 7 building pieces that need to be won and the 2 provinces to be taken and still be as displeased as I am with the ticket output.
You have 40 quests, please consider adding more building pieces to some.

Yup. However if you trade goods for points you can connect those towers and for a 5:1 trade virtually you have the same FP production + 8 free spaces in the middle (for two more junglepong/playgrounds or watchfires, victory towers, etc...) and a couple of 1x1 spaces near the western towers

Perhaps the ticket from the Town Hall ought to be made retroactive to the start of the Summer Event to help those players whose luck has not been so good in spinning the wheel. I know there are more than a few players who have not been able to get all the buildings. Personally I am opposed to the "luck" aspect to get the buildings, it is far too discouraging when you are coming to the end of the event and still cannot get the buildings and are running out of chances. I realize that we can always use diamonds to buy chances, but I would rather use them to buy expansions, so some event buildings will simply sit in inventory until next year with the hopes that they will be repeated.

To be fair... we did get some diamonds at the start of the event. I'm not sure how many tickets there will be in the final event when it goes live, though.

Note that I was unlucky too--I have a couple of full sets of Palace tiles, with some extras, but only two minor Elephant tiles even after spending all my diamonds (I was intending to use them to buy blueprints). But I wouldn't turn down the offer of more diamonds if they shuold appear....

While I enjoy completing the questlines, I don't understand why one piece from each of the 2 sets were not awarded and again no female portrait. I am not a fan of casino game play as the odds are never in the player's favour so I don't use diamonds on real server as that would be rewarding Inno for such irritating and simplistic game play. I was hoping to pick up a rogue hideout or champions retreat but with this format only saw the SoK once and never saw the others at all so no chance to win them. At least with the chests in Spring Event you could see what was on offer and the odds of getting it so you could save up lanterns to try and get prizes you valued.

Spinning the wheel for limited prizes requires no skill or strategy and is my least favourite aspect of this game.

This is the first time I have done a Summer Event so don't have previous events to compare it to. Please get rid of the wheel next year, it just seems to make players like me feel ripped off as we have missed out it seems on one of the few opportunities to get premium buildings.

On a positive note the graphics and concept for the sets are great, but I don't think I will ever have room for my 4 Maharaja's palaces and I too have missed out on one of the elephant buildings. As others have said I would be happy to trade my surplus at the market but I expect most players have ended up with at least 2 palaces and numerous towers too.

The Town Hall tickets have come too late, I expect you realised that once we had completed the questlines, the wheel stopped spinning.

The extra medals were a nice addition to help towards expansions but a drop in the bucket really.

Thanks for trying but I will never be excited by spinning a wheel.
