Recreation steps
activate notifications.
deactivate notifications. at this point it shows them deactivated

but after reload game: notifications still activated

We can try to deactivate it for you if you write a support ticket.

The other possibility would be to deactivate the notifications for the page in the browser. This option should be available via clicking the lock icon:
