Interesting how it was possible to get under 5k diamonds a 2nd grand building during St. Patrick’s day. It’s also very good possible to get multiple grand buildings for free. My point isn’t that you get every single event multiple grand prizes for free. The point is that with diamond farming it’s possible to get multiples once a good grand prize shows up.
In that case, would anyone buy extra diamonds if they could get it free anyways? Most often it’ll be no. Which is the point why it’s compromising revenue of the game and ultimately threatens its longevity. On top of that, it’s often not just GE that gets farmed. The 5.200 diamonds example from GE is kinda low estimate. Cause it doesn’t take farming GbF out and WW/FoY farms. Tricky to set up but harmful for the game’s longevity.

To cut it short. Farming diamonds at the scale it happens compromises potential revenue and to an extent the longevity of the game. That’s why this change is good imo.

They do listen which is completely different to acting on it .. just because loads scream they dont like something doesnt mean they will change it .. they know most of us will continue to play regardless and the ones who are most likely to quit will be the ones who dont pay towards the game anyway so no real loss because most who have piled thousands into the game will continue to play because of the investment and the fact if your buying diamonds the loss of diamonds doesnt affect them that much
