You can activate the diamond spending confirmation window in the game settings (bottom left, under the game menu buttons, blue icon of two cogs).
Once the confirmation is active, it will appear whenever you're about to spend diamonds. Keep in mind that the confirmation window itself includes an option for deactivating, so if you 'check' that box it will deactivate again.
