CA player participating in the IndA PVP tower?

How is it possible for a player still in the colonial age (verified by the city hall building) to participate in the industrial age tower? Is there a bug or a quest reward to gives an industrial age unit?

on the continental map , once you conquer the territory for PvP Tower of that age ( Industrial Age) and
complete quest for the Industrial Age combat unit reward , then can compete .

u don't have to control the PvP tower, u just need units. and yes there are alot of units from quests ;)

sry, my english is not the best... but did u say, that u can't get points in a PvP tournament, if u use "free/unattached" units?
That's not correct, of course u can use a unattached units to join pvp
