The event this year is much better than last year's. The 2016 Fall Event was way too complicated. I personally am glad that the Cornucopia was removed since that only added to the confusion. The baskets and lock mechanism was better explained in the announcement, though I have yet to observe the 3-day changing prizes.
One thing that put me off was the amount of apples available from trees. With a max. of 5 apples, we might as well remove them completely. A very minute difference would be felt. Inno has killed off the social interaction element from the event. But, to be the devil's advocate, I will argue that sometimes when you're just a few apples short of opening a basket these trees do help.
And, speaking of apple trees, how can we forget the furore over the visibility of apple trees. Inno seems to have addressed that concern quite aptly by adding some more graphics of baskets around the trees. I found them easier to spot.
In an earlier post, I already expressed my concern over Inno's growing greediness by releasing all event building upgrades at one time instead of spacing them out over the years. I adopted a line from that post as my motto and am proud to see Inno living up to it
All in all, a good event, but most events aren't perfect, Inno really could do some improvising in some aspects and in controlling their greed.
