Feedback [Feedback] Arctic Future - Part 4

Why does the Plasma Artillery have a bonus against heavy and LIGHT units? Dragon Drones have a bonus against artillery units. Unit bonuses should not cancel each other out like this when they're the same age. To keep the pattern with other AF units, Plasma should be boosted against heavy and RANGE units (this also goes with their ability to counter stealth, which surrogates have, with their blast ability). Can this be addressed?

With several armies, but no wars in GvG, is dead. Bad gameplay does not let wars. Why does not INNO improve GvG gameplay?

that is not a solutions -- it is like bringing a cup of water to the desert and think that it will change to a green pastures
Exactly - my GBs are putting 50+ AF goods into the treasury every day and GE level 3 costs 12 of each for the week. This is not a solution. We need something else!

2. i might have missed it on beta but I see on live servers that the city plots expanded with about 50 more new expansions today. Is this part of arctic package as whole. And also does this mean that several medal packages are coming?
It was already added on Beta. Check the daily changelogs for the specific date.

It is a general update, it is not related to any specific era. It simply means there will be new locations for expanding your city in the future. All future expansions will be rolled out gradually with new game content, as it has been done so far.

Any reason why we can't explore until we've conquered each province? At the end of an age, concurrent explore and conquer should be happening.

5 minutes after my post edit, but no it's not a complete solution, i'ts simple a
function for the AF guildgoods.;)

More ontopic:

Spoiler have been used, because it's a lot of text, and not everyboddy
wants to read this. Basicly players can ignore my feedback, if the want
to read it feell free to open the spoiler and read it. The feedback is more
for Inno; Inno asked for feedback, so I give it.:)

My extended feedback of AF (with spoilers!)

I did make the promise to give extended feedback, for Inno for the
game age Arctic future. I hope my Englisch is good enough in order
to read my feedback and understand what I mean.:)

- Downsides
First of all the downsides of the AF age, than the upsides of it.
In part one I was realy dissepointed with the buildings, because
the game ages is called Arctic Future. The first tech. is Arctic
Harvest. On that way I expected already huge influence from the
Arctics. It wasn't the case. It was more like the Post Future age
than a new game age. I was dissepointed by that fact.
AF guildgoods doesn't have a great use. It's not a big deal for
me, but it's sad that I have built a GB with the idea to support
my guild with guildgoods. It's fair to said that the goods have
now a function, but still it's not that much.
The great person Princess Myciena was gone out of nothing.
After the advanture in the Future map she is gone, without
any word or explenation. She is simple replaced in a brutal
way by Tera hunt. After all the advantures, all the things
what did happens, she is been replaced brutal by the new
mission giver. In the begin her predecessor was gone with
a great storyline and she come to you and with here to your
side you face great many advantures. It's very sad that she
after a great introduction is been replaced so brutal.:( It's
still very sad.

* Not bad not good
The not bad, not good points are more the points how I
doesn't like much, but I'm fine with it.
In the first place the surrogate soldier. It's the underdog
of this game age and far from usefull. However it's okay,
because many another ages have units that I don't use.
After some updates this unit is become even more useless,
but it's fine for me.
The harbor costs. The costs of the harbor are high and the
output is lower than 1:1. Because you have to repair it from
time to time, what bring the costs up to a higher level. Even
with the high costs I'm fine with it. It's not great to spend
so much and got not so much back. Basicly it's not bad at
all, but not good to.
Diamond buildings in the TT. I don't like to have to spend
my fp's, goods and suplies/coins for stuff that cost diamonds,
but it's fine. Because the game age is in parts and diamond
buildings of part 1 are simple in the style of the future age.
So bonus diamondbuildings in the style of later parts are
nice. The downside that I have to pay stuff for something
that cost diamonds in one hand and in the another hand
that diamond buildings excist in the style of later parts
are a ballance and I'm fine with it.

The game age in parts. The downside of it is that the tech.
expend with small steps, the upside is that the TT expensions
are coming faster, with higher quality by the feedback of
us players.:)

+ Upsides
Now the upsides.:)
First of all is the battle field. That is even one of my favorite
battle fields, Modern age, Tommorrow and now the Arctic
battlefield is one my favorites.:) The designers did make
a great job with lot of detaills. I love this battlefield, it's
give the cold feellings of the Arctics and is a great battlefield
for a battle.
The harbor, paradox right?:p The costs are high and I'm fine with
that, but the harbor is also a upside for me. The special goods was
a great idea. You have to think how to get the most special goods out
of the harbor. Also the annimations are great. The complete team
did a great job. I can remember a suggestion for the GB Cape Caneveral
the suggestion was to give the GB annimations of a launch, but it
wasn't possible. Now the harbor have simelar annimations, it's not a
space ship, but a cargo ship that you sent and you can see that that
ship realy go, great job.
The tech.'s, the TT is filled with great high tech. stuff. Also with great
pictures and research for the Arctic. I love that and it's a great way to
go in this theme.
The theme, I like this theme for this game age. The solarpunk style
is been used again (for Future and Arctic) with a winter and Promethium
influence. It's a unique way to go.
The most of the units. The recon raiders are great Railguns hunters,
the Battle Fortress is a great unit to take lot of damage, good to be a
wall in the battle field that take lot of damage and deal damage, the
Dragondrone is a great unit to strike more targets in one shot, the
another units does seens amazing. The surrogate soldier is more the
underdog, but it's well designed.
The storryline is great. A race to the arctic in order to search for
Promethium, but it's strange that you already have a harbor that works
and that you have Promethium in stock. The thing that is strange in
this case is that in the storyline you doesn't find Promethium or
a way to hold it. Even with that paradox this storyline is a great
a new storlyline.:) Can't wait to see/play the next chapter (Oceanic
Future) beyond this game age.

The last, but not least, lot of expensions and 4/5 good bonus. Both are
great.

Not under spoiler, but also feedback. I did see in the spoilers that Inno
give to us that the next game age does have already a new style. Please
give this style to the first parts too, of the Oceanic Future.:)
Also for this TT. In Elvenar the TT change a lot of times, lucky it's here not
the case, but it would be nice to change the place of the tech.'s inside the
AF a bit. At the moment in some parts of the TT of AF you have a line of
3 single tech. in a line, like the tech.'s Mobile houses, Rare eurth elements
and Promethium extraction. Would it be a idea to change the places of
this tech.'s a bit so the tech. isn't so long (not the number of tech, but
the places of them in the TT of the game age).;) Maybe it's a idea to make
a plan how the next game age TT have to looks like with all the parts and
cut off them in 4 parts. Simelar with the PME , before it was coming we
did can see 1 tech. and when it was coming 4 tech.'s were in the begin,
it seens maybe a bit strange in the begin of the parts to end with lot
of tech.'s in to one, but when a next part is released it can been changed
a bit.
For example, how it's possible to organize this, we can use Future for the
example. It's under the spoiler, because it's a huge image.
Suggestion.png

Please, click on the picture to make it bigger and see it clear.
The tech. with a gello line are tech. how you can see before the part
is released. The with lines how cut off the TT in parts are the lines
between the parts. Above every part I did put Part X, to make it possible
to see how it's possible to release it in parts. If Future era was released
in parts.
If Inno's dev. team use this planning it won't become a mess like AF
now :p, and more simelar with another ages like Future in this example.
I hope it will help a little bit. It's possible to make this plan with parts
of a concept tech. with tech.'s without a name (the dev. team can give
the name after designe it later). It's more like a map exc. for the dev.
team to make the job more easy. Later on the can give names to the
tech.'s and built on that way the parts. When the finnisch the part they
can release it to Beta, just like the another parts of AF.

Only one day into part 4, and I am presented with two Fernikus Side Quests completely out of rational order. One is "Ice Blossom" which wants me to build 7 ice flowers. Problem there is that there are five techs to be researched before I can build ice flowers. 700 Forge points or more to unlock them makes it entirely unreasonable for me to be given that quest now. The other one is "Magnum Opus" - build 6 Crystal Villas. Same complaint, I need to research 4 techs before I can build those. So, why am I being given two side quests when I have no choice but to abort them? I would happily complete them if I could, but it is just insulting to be given these now. Give me quests that I can actually complete!!!

Two questions of clarification on teh gb:

1. If you have DT and aid with that boost, can you get the good from DT AND a prize from seed vault boost?
2. Is this only from aiding or does SV work on plundering as well? (Better be plundering or I just built a Voyager for nothing)

since Arctic Part 3, all sidequests are totally useless, they give just nothing, only the random reward
not a single mission was worth doing it, compared to arctic part 1 and 2
its pretty sad, why you even introduce those sidemissions ? to get a chance to get 20 diamonds ? (without château bonus)
and as Alonso wrote, you have to research many techs before you even can complete those sidemissions, and make you stuck many days (if you don't have enough Promotium, or whatsoever)
every 'normal' user (sorry) will skip those
normally i do most sidemissions, if they was worth doing it, but since arctic part 3, i did skip them on my main world, the first time !

Obviously Arctic goods will be useful when Ocean age comes. ;)

I want to know what are the possible resources you can get from the new GB? Coin, supplies, goods - FP/unattached/medals/diamonds???

Maybe, because the Railgun can only shoot on every 2. Turn?
The Rail Gun just needs 1 shot if you have enough strike teams down..... The Plasma Artillery is extremely disappointing and the RG will chew through the defense skill the Behemoth offers.

A little suggestion for the new GB. The chance to get
a random reward by adding is extreme low. 2.0% for
lvl 1 and for lvl 5 2,4%. Maybe its possible to make
it for lvl 1 up to 10% and from that point 1% for each
new level untill level 10. Than you have still not a
big chance of 20%, but it's better than so low chance
to get something for the space and goods that this
need.;)

Suggestion for arctic and oceanic goods.
Currently arctic (all ages) map uses medals with are worth nothing. On my main world top guild owns almost 70 sectors and they are still able to put 5-10 sieges per day.
Goods even with guild great buildings are harder to get than medals. But to keep 1 map for all ages make it possible to 'convert' age-specific goods for new resource used in all ages GvG map. Only goods in guild treasury could be converted. Higher age of goods lower amount is needed for 1 unit.
It could be existing promethium :) Extra player promethium could be then donated to treasury for GvG.
Guild could convert ie 5 of each arctic age goods in treasury for 1 promethium. Future age would be ie 6 each, TE 8 each etc. Oceanic would be 4 each. And then guilds use promethium for sieges in all ages map.
