i made the mistake of scouting north and south provinces in my industrial age map now i'm stuck with these quests and don't have access to recurring quests, so i want to know how many of these quests i have to complete until i can get back to recurring quests

There are only about a dozen quests in the Industrial Age bonus quest line. The last one will ask you to research Modern Roads.
