Have you looked to see if this has already been suggested?
Yes, but haven't found anything similar
Most Event- and other Buildings like Golden Fields, Celtic Farmstead, Statue of Honor, Great Elephant etc. show their Treasury Good production in Total, while GBs show it as per good production. This has lead to many misconceptions and Players not building Treasury GBs like Observatory or AI Core, because they're falsely believing they need to be much higher Level to exceed SoH or GE production as they actually need to be. Just had that discussion again like yesterday.

Tooltips do not show different types of production for the same output. They show the output in different ways. Special buildings show you the total of goods, GB's show you the number for each good. How can that lead to misconceptions? It's there in front of you and you see it again when you collect. What's there to discuss? If your guild members do not undertand themselves, you tell them what they are looking at. End of discussion.

So why not simply show it the same way on all buildings? Does it cause you or anybody any kind of disadvantage if it would? Or why the need to downvote it?

Does it cause me any advantage? I can read. That helps me not to get confused.

Obviously treassury goods are a problem for your Guild. That does not warrant game changes that do not need to be changed if players pay attention, or Guilds are run properly.

I had that discussion over and over in any guild, no matter if Treasury goods were a problem or not.

Point with that is, the more people falsely believe SoH and Elephant are superior to Treasury GBs, thus not building the latter because they're believing one mediocre SoH is sufficient, the more problems with treasury goods this will cause.

And I see people complain about lack of treasury goods, especially from early eras, all around. Exactly this might be one of the reasons, because early era players might be exactly those confusing that, e.g. believing SoH produces more than obs.

As for example, the popup in the GB tab of the Inventory when hovering over GBs like Arc does NOT say '+x of EACH every 24hrs', it just tells '+ x every 24hrs'. At least it does in the German version, don't know the exact popup text in english. Which technically isn't even true.


Edit: Just checked with my account on beta, same with the English popup text, only stating for a Level 1 Observatory '+3 goods every 24h', not '+3 of each good every 24h' or '+15 Goods every 24h' as it should be to be true.

On the US servers the tooltip for ARC, OBS, and Hydra says that they will "produce X of each current good for your Guild treasury". Everyone should know that it is a 24-hour cycle.

Maybe you should just establish a minimum standard for daily guild treasury donations (all of my guilds do) and let the players figure out how to get there if they aren't there already. Top guilds, and guilds aspiring to be a top guild, all require their members to have high level treasury goods GBs. Changing the tooltip is not a substitute for strong guild leadership.

It is still a double standard.

Either put all of them on Number x 5 goods (which would be useful for regular good to know which building produce random goods and which produce balanced goods). Fixing trandslation error that miss the "each" part.
Or move them all to total goods produced.

Yes, it does and I'd suggest that you look at the tooltip when hovering over the GB in your city (instead of the build menu) but it appears that you don't have an OBS built in your city. :rolleyes:

And thats the exact problem for Players that haven't built those GBs yet, aka new players. Why give them misleading information in the Inventory/Building menu popup, as clearly '+3 goods' is a different statement than '+3 of each good'?
 
Or, to put it different, imagine you're a new player that knows nothing about that game. Obviously you haven't built either SoH or Observatory yet, but your Guild needs you to built something that helps cover GE costs.

So you're checking in your Inventory. Obs popup states +3 Goods. SoH Lv1 States +10 Goods.

How are you gonna check and notice that Obs Lv1 actually produces x5, so 15 instead of just 3 and thus is better than SoH Lv1? Are you even doublechecking or are you simply building SoH, as 10 Goods is clearly more than 3 and it'd be a super stupid question to doublecheck that in guildchat?

If there is a problem with this and new players it's that your guild's leaders are not providing guidance regarding guild treasury buildings. Tell them that membership comes with the responsibility to build certain GBs. If they push back claiming that the SoH, for example, is superior to the ARC then set them straight. After all, isn't it a responsibility of veteran guild members to coach the newbies? I don't really care about the wording of the tooltip, one way or another. I'm just saying that changing the wording isn't going to fix your problem.

You are going to ask your guild's leaders to explain. If the guild is simply saying "build something" without providing any guidance then find another guild.

Are you gonna write an encyclopedia of commonly mistaken things, ready to fire out on every new player that joins your Guild, because chances are he/she wasn't taught before? How do you even knoe wheter or not he was taught? How do you even know about everything that might be confusing for new players? How are new players supposed to ask about stuff they didn't even know about so far?

I'm reading what you are posting but all that I can think about is that you don't have an Observatory in your city.

For the sake of understandability, I took a screenshot from my Beta world that I barely touched to have an English screenshot, as my native Language is German and thus I mainly play on de.foe.

Another sh*t take trying to turn that into an Ad Hominem against me, when you ask me.

And here we get to the real problem. Your Guild not getting enough treasury goods and you blaming that on a tooltip.

Then how about you put your suggestion on the German forum, cause that is where the problem seems to exist. Game servers are free to change the text. After all rogues are called agents on the German server.

After all, Inno is a German company FYI, so it’s a rather bold statement to disvalue suggestions solely because the person suggesting them is German.

Plus, as I said, this wasn’t an Issue special to me or my guild(s), as I had that discussion with players all around, be it Ingame, on Reddit or on Facebook, and yes, that included players from the glorious FoE US.
