Rumors say 250 for the winner, but I can't confirm because all my currently 4 fogfree provinces each offer me nothing but chests so far :/
IMHO, 250 medals is too few, should be at least 500.

Really 250 medals for first place is somewhat rewarding.
Some moderator can confirm that all medals are won in the tower of the Colonial Age?

The last 5 of the 10 available PvP expansions will cost you 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 medals. So 250 for the winner is not really much.
