Pretty sure this won't happen. A lot of people spend 50 diamonds to open a second slot, and out of those most would rather end the going boost then to pay for a 2nd given the option. Inno needs to make money somewhere.

Some things to address:

  • How is this not replacing the 50 diamond option?
    • EG: Boost, Delete, Boost, Delete, Boost, Quest complete - yay!
  • How do you intend to stop players from resetting their city shield timing and having an infinite shield? From my understanding if you attack someone currently with a shield you get told the amount of time left which would allow an attacker to time when they come back. If you can just delete and reactivate at any time then there would be no way to counter the shield as the defender would not have to be online at any specific time to reset

  • Would you guys still be willing to say yes to the delete boost option if it had the following criteria?
    • Can only delete a boost while there is currently 2 boosts activated (in other words you'd be deleting your diamond boost and then paying the diamond cost again to replace it)
    • If deleting the boost more then once within 72 hrs the diamond boost option increases in price (and goes back to normal after 72 hrs)
    • You cannot re-activate a deleted boost until whatever time it would have been active for is completed
    • Normal diamond boost conditions apply - (eg can't activate multiples of the same boost)

Note: the reason I do not want to see the ability to swap out a boost at any time with another boost is game difficulty. If you remove the risk there's nothing to decide about whether you want to lock yourself into a decision for an extended period of time to solve the current problem in front of you at the risk of missing out on something else - or go for something shorter to keep more options available later.

Having the diamond boost option still gives some game difficulty because you have to either farm or buy them. Whereas tavern silver is too easy to come by and is not much removed from being unlimited due to how easy it is to farm in proportion to costs involved
