Monastery 3x3 = 9 squares gives 20%
Watchfire 1 square gives 4%, then 9 squares give 36%

I do not mean to be defensive help on something. But we have to focus more on what is most difficult to win. Add plants GB is harder than winning Watchfire and GE are devalued with Watchfire. They have to be less advantageous than a GB from my point of view. your math is wrong:
watchfires 100% is worse than 30% of great buildings
because that are 0/100% compared to 30/30%

if the defender can't make damage it doesn't matter if it need 5 or 10 hits to kill the defending units

we had examples here before the change of the defending bonus where GBs had 0/100%
and there people with 600% bonus on defending only could be defeated

and in the calculation of Deal Castle you compare all 49 space with watchfires
you forget: Deal Castle produces also medals.
