Quite likely. No one would want their hard work undone, or to have bought something and then be unable to use it.

"celtic altars" and "celtic trees" seem to be the celtic forest selection kit split into two - I do not understand the logic behind that, but maybe they have other things inside as well (like druid temple???)

Well, splitting them makes these kits less valuable, so it gives more options for balancing.

Celtic is probably the worst of the "good" sets when it comes to number of pieces / upgrades required for the stats it gives, and unless there are some big changes to the event mechanics it's one of the hardest to get from events as well. This is not the set to make less valuable by splitting it up.

Hopefully by "more options for balancing" you're talking about changes to the event that allows players more choice in which rewards they get, but from what we see so far I'm not very hopeful for that.

Or alternatively, swap out the individual pieces from the antiques dealer with these kits. I'd be in favour of that, though you might as well go all the way and do the full selection kit.

For reference, if we compare celtic forest with other sets in terms of "Stat per selection kit / piece": For attack it is worse than Fall, Butterfly, Cherry, Piazza and even Winter Village, for defense it's worse than Fall and Butterfly, for combined attack/defense it's worse than Fall, Butterfly, Cherry and Piazza, and for FPs it's worse than Butterfly, Fall, Horror Circus and Piazza.

Something like this is OK.
Maximum level: 11FP for 20 tiles
Bonus level exclusive for cash: 13FP for 20 tiles

Something like this is undesired (too powerful building)
Maximum level: 11FP for 20 tiles
Bonus level exclusive for cash: 20FP for 20 tiles
*I think it's OK if you can never have multiple bonus level buildings

Something like this is unbearable (fully upgraded building only available by cash)
Maximum level: 9FP for 20 tiles
Bonus level exclusive for cash: 11FP for 20 tiles

We also have three other very ... interesting kits, as posted by beelzebob666. It seems like the selection kit for the celtic forest set has been split into two ... which as I argue here is quite an odd choice. We also have an "ultimate" upgrade kit for the main building. There's been some speculation that this is a premium-only kit, personally I really hope it doesn't add any temporary boost to the main building that's locked behind a premium feature...

Speculation but could the 1x1 trees be similar to the guardhouses of winter event? I mean like this main reward building is the “parent” building and producing fragments for the small special 1x1 trees?

@MooingCat can be different alternative skins. Similar to pod houses of tomorrow era. Though this is purely speculation at this point. It’s also possible that each variation offers a different benefit.
