So what is with the Rhino on the Raft Contest

We know many of you have been thinking the same thing, wondering why that rhino is on that raft. So we have decided to have some fun with it.

Welcome to our 'So what is with the Rhino on the raft' contest.​

We want to hear your best story on how that rhino got on that raft, and where the rhino may be going. Perhaps someone is sending the rhino somewhere. Maybe it is a gift to a far away ruler. Maybe the rhino is on a mission of their own. Or maybe it's Rinbin playing one of his tricks on us again. The choice is up to you.
You can write any type of story you want (humor is always appreciated but not required). We just ask that you try and keep it in the context of the game.

As always just a few rules:

• Keep all content appropriate for our community
• Try to keep your entry to 500 words or less
• Please do not leave comments in this thread

• Decisions of the Beta staff are final
• This contest will end on Friday 30th June at 11:59PM CEST. After this we will no longer accept entries.

A rhino was living in a zoo. One day the rhino said to his keeper, "boss, i'd like to see the world". Boss thought that was a good idea, since he has not been on a holiday in years, and said, "okay rhino, let's go on a trip".

Of course, you don't just take out a rhino from a zoo, so they had to come up with a plan.

That night the rhino anxiously waited for his boss, when he heard someone opening the fence. His boss entered his cage and brought with him a ladder. "Rhino", he said, "you will have to be very quiet and use this ladder to climb over the fence". "On the other side you will find a raft, please wait for me there"

Rhino took the ladder and placed it against the fence. Now as you can probably understand, climbing ladders isn't an easy task for your average rhino, and the same goes for the rhino in this story.

"hey, psst, boss, please loan me a hand", the rhino whispered, while already being halfway on the ladder. Boss came back and pushed the rhino up the ladder and over the fence. While pushing the rhino, boss felt something crack in his back. In total agony, he crawled back to the raft and on his way he found a pink umbrella. He happily took the pink umbrella and used it to lean on. When he finally made it back to the raft, the rhino was already waiting for him.

And off they went, to a place near you.

So now you know how that rhino and his boss, ended up on a raft.

Rhino on the raft.

Once upon a time on an island far far away to the north past the oceanic and the arctic lived a rhino, a turtle and a cow.
The rhino was bored and always complaining that there was nothing to do on the island and that one day he will leave the island to discover other lands.
Miss turtle bored by the boring rhino said: before i came to this island i lived in a land far far away to the south past the arctic and oceanic.
It was a land where you could forge an empire, but i left when my family started to mutate.
That's interesting said the rhino tell me more about that land, how can i reach it, how can i forge an empire?
Well first you have to build an arc. Oh yes i remember you told me about the arcs said the cow, you told me there were arcs level 80 and higher.
Not that kind of arc you stupid cow, i mean an arc to navigate the arctic and oceanic.
When you reach the land you have to buy yours with diamonds, they call it expansions, the more expansions you can buy the bigger your empire.
When i left i took the diamonds with me and i will give them to you.
The rhino immediatly started to build an arc and when finished took an empty flacon and filled it with milk from the cow (there was no champagne)
He crashed the flacon against the arc and said: i baptise you the rhinotanic.
Miss turtle gives him the diamonds and said: be very carefull, once you reach the arctic you go left after the 3th iceberg, then right after the second iceberg and then you reach the oceanic.
And so rhino left the island. All went well till he reached the the last iceberg and turned a little to sharp to the right and hurt the iceberg.
The rhinotanic began to sink, and rhino was just able to save a pink umbrellastatue to protect him from the sun, some planks and rope and quickly build a raft.
He continued his way and finaly reached the promised land.
But before he could put foot ashore he was stopped by mutated crabs, eels and turtles.
What are you doing here they asked. I have diamonds and want to buy expansions to forge an empire said rhino.
There is no free land, not even on the all ages, all sectors are filled.
I see plenty of human spearmen asked the rhino why is that?
Those are our slaves said the turturret, they are cheap, no cost and always replaceable.
He has diamonds said the sneaky eel while blinking to the turturret.
Hmm there is something we can help you with, you need buildings and army's to forge an empire, whe have a casino and you can buy tickets with your diamonds and you can win all the fourniture needed, even a palace.
Oh that's nice said rhino and started to turn the wheel, but of course it was tricked and all what he won were portrets, baobab, motivation kits and tiki totems.
Rhino spend all his diamonds with no luck.
Come back when you have more diamonds said the sneaky eel.
And since that day you can sometimes see the rhino on the raft trying to get foot ashore.

'Saurus Great Quest

Part 1: how it all begun

In a land far far away, very, very long time ago people shut themselves out from the world. Where skies are blue, where air is always fresh and also where there is no slavery, no evil and no animal training, there was a rhino and technology was way more advanced than you or me can even imagine lived one full of life and energy Rhino, and due to its size his nickname was ‘Saurus (Rhino-saurus).

One day ‘Saurus got tired of this extremely big home of his. ‘Saurus wanted to see above-world, a world to be ruled by people, the same but different. Those Above-dwellers were far less advanced than Atlantis people.

But since Atlantis engineers developed a way to communicate with all animals that had language, Rhinos, dolphins and other animals were at last understood properly.

But our ‘Saurus wanted to go anyway, he got all sorts of stuff with him, and Atlantis personnel even inoculate him for all above illnesses.

Part 2: the trip

‘Saurus went happily on his undersea vessel, he admired everything he saw, he admired how beautiful and how colorful everything was. Then he emerged on the surface and the horror began

The air was not clean so he choked and choked and choked until there was nothing only blackness…

Part 3: The awakening

‘Saurus opened his eyes, but something was wrong, even not fully awaken and being not able to move or see he started to screaming out of fear, no words he told no noise he made was helpful, but he could understand every single word.

Those men were horrifying dirty, not clean at all and the smell terrible. Even blindsided he could hear and smell everything around him. There was some sort of fight between two groups. First his slaves as far as he could understand, or rather deduced sea-pirates was a term he read in many Atlantis books but there they were only a legend…

He struggled a lot, but his muscle strength due to his big size was great help. ‘Saurus got loose. Unblinded and free he saw barbarians, not people but barbarians firing with weapons. His boat was taken as a trophy by those pirates. Lucky for him pirates lost and our rhino striffeld with fear found a way to escape this boat. Unknown intentions of his saviours was too big a risk for our friend, he prefered to run. He found a safe boat made of wood and he jumped and escaped. His saviours were in shock, how a Rhino could do that on his own, so fast, so smart, and Rhino was already out on ocean on his own.

Part 4 The end:

Rhino’s vessel

Rhino undersea vessel was taken to a capital luckily decrypted and and that's how oceanic future began. Thanks to ‘Saurus undersea vessel from Atlantis, and now land dwellers found a way for deep sea exploration, and worse! Not only to find Atlantis, but to rob Atlantis sea from its deepest secrets, rare elements, and all other things that can be plundered by land-dwelling human race who have no remorse for destroying EARTH and ATLANTIS

Rhino

Rhino jumping on safe boat saved himself. Out of food, clean water he got weak very fast, but got used to this unclean air, he saw a land, a land with trees, he went for it, while on the shore he was saved by a great Mayor of nearest city, and tho enslaved on this island he is free to roam as he pleases in Nature reserve. ‘Saurus did not said his last word, he got his lesson, and he is already thinking of a way to come back to Atlantis, where he will start campaign to save land dwellers from themselves!

[Silveralius]

This story begins somewhere in Africa. Is morning, great morning in summer. And Silveralius just now awoke. He stretched the muscles and got out from bed. Silveralius lives in a simple hut of bamboo. He has only his bed, a table with a chair, and two large chests. Sometimes joins them some boxes of goods, just like today. He has one box full of fresh oranges and one full of melons. Silveralius came to the orange box and took one orange. He sat on a nearby chair, pulled the knife out of his boot and began to peel orange. When he was done, he halved orange with a knife and ate it in pieces. Then he hid the knife back into his boot and went to the other box. He picked up one of the smaller melon and came out of the hut. The hut is in the middle of a small oasis full of palm trees with the pond. Oh, pond rather small lake. He whistled. And the rhino ran out from the pond against him. Silveralius waved the melon over his head. The rhino stopped in front of him in a large cloud of dust and nodded to the melon. Silveralius threw it and the rhino caught him in the air.

The loud crunching interrupted the sound coming from the desert. Silveralius looked in that direction and saw only a large cloud of dust. "Oh visitor," he thought. "What are we going to offer him to eat?" he said to the rhino. The Rhino shook his head and snorted. "Do not worry. He will not get your melons." The cloud of dust gradually began into change in a large grey ball and later in a rhino with a rider on his back.

After a few minutes, they stopped beside the pond. The rider jumped from the rhino. Let him drank and ran to Silveralius. "Greetings to Alivarax" welcomes him Silveralius. "What brings you to these lands?" "The message from the boss," replies Alivarax and forward him scroll.

Silveralius opened the scroll and began to read. "So, it seems that quiet times end, we're going on a trip," Silveralius said, then turned to Alivarax. "Are you going with us or are you planning something else?" he asked. Alivarax replied, "I will go with you, it will be a pleasant journey."

Silveralius packed up the most important things. From one of the chests he takes out a large harness for the rhino. Pinned his chests and two crates on it.

And they went on a journey. They travelled for two days before they arrived at in the late afternoon to harbour. They met here with the other Rhinoriders and boarded the unstable, but solid bamboo ships.

The night was cold. They saw a lot stars at clear sky and telling stories about them. The story about tiger's rocks about elephant oasis and story about big palace. Soon at midnight, everyone was asleep. Except for the patrol. One young man sat on the deck and watched the ship. Loud snoring occasionally interrupted splashing on the water or distant roaring of animals.

They set sail early in the morning. The ship was rocking on the waves and sail slowly toward the finish. To Europe. The sun shone sharply, and a ship appeared on the horizon. The big black dot was approaching directly to them. Preparing started. Will they be allies or enemies? After a while it was clear. They're pirates.

The bloodthirsty pirates on their bloodshed journey for wealth and headed straight for them. The Rhinoriders took positions alongside the ship at the cannon or with the rifle in hand. The pirate flag was closer and closer. Pirates fired first. The cannonball hit the ship, but they did not have the strength to break through the bamboo hull. Pirates began to load cannons and Rhinoriders fired. They made several new holes in a pirate ship. The pirate had started another fire. This time, the bamboo ship's hull did not resist, and it looked like an emmental. Rhinoriders fired. The pirate ship suffered further damage. There was a double salvo shot of rifles. Several men on both sides were hit. The pirate ship had a lot of damage, but it was clear that it was impossible to defeat it, and so they decided to take a radical step. In the next turn, they brought the ship forward facing the side of the pirate ship. Rhinos and men jumped into the water, and then both ships collided. Bamboo against European wood.

Both ships sank and only peoples, floating debris and rhino remained on the surface. The rhino emerged from the debris on a piece of bamboo debris. And headed straight to the Silveralius. Silveralius climbed at the remnants of the bamboo ship and began collecting things around him. Boxes with food, barrels with water, paddles, and an umbrella. "Where the hell took an umbrella?" The others were doing the same. Then the sea stream was taken then away from others. They were lucky. Several pirates survived the ship clash, and some Rhinoriders had to fight them for debris.

They had sailed for several days until the mainland was appear on the horizon. With jubilance Silveralius began to paddle to the mainland. When they were already very close, the rhino began to jump joyfully, the wonder did not overturn the debris.

And so, the rhino from Africa got to Europe.

The Evil Deeds

Prologue​

This is a story of one summer in the land of Empires.

It started thousands of years ago. There was a legend about a king who could unite all the lands to get their people a better life, with no wars and no tragedies. Of all the rulers in the world only one was worthy to be the One. It was the king who has established his city on the western part of the central continent long long ago at the age of Stone. He was granted the immortality. People were born and died, many centuries has passed, but he stayed the same, only to become wiser and nobler. His heart was pure and his deeds were justly.

The Story​

One summer a foreign delegation has arrived to his capital. Those people were from India, sultan Maharaji and his wives. They were telling lots of stories about beautiful architectural structures of their nation. They inspired the ruler to build a summer palace of his own with a wonderful fountain in front of it. However, his architects knew nothing about foreign wondrous buildings and were desperate in their attempts to recreate them.

So the ruler has asked Maharaji: «Would you give me the blueprints of your palace? I would pay you any price you ask.» Maharaji didn’t want to share secrets and was very sly. He was afraid of swimming since young age when he almost drowned. So he offered the king a deal. «I have a wonderful fountain in my garden and delightful beaches in my country. I couldn’t have enjoyed swimming there for all my life. I faint each time when I’m near water. Help me to overcome my fear and I’ll send you my personal architect.» He didn’t mention, though, that every person with healing or persuasion powers from all over the world has already tried to cure it. And they all found it impossible to accomplish. – «However, – he continued, if you accept the deal and won’t succeed, I’ll become the ruler of your Empire.»

The king was wise and thoughtful, and asked for some time to think through. He understood there was something wrong with the deal, blueprints were not worth his kingdom. So he summoned his Seer, a powerful mage, to help him. The Seer looked into Maharaji’s thoughts and discovered a horrible truth. That given quest could never be done. The king was upset by that terrible act of a visiting sultan. And decided to teach him a lesson. He asked the Seer to help him with that.

On the next day Maharaji came to the king. They agreed on a deal and the Seer stood up. He casted a spell on sultan and turned him into the Rhino, then placed him on board of a ship with his loyal servants. Sultan was able to withstand the water, and the quest was done. Maharaji became so angry that he started to ram the ship he was onto. And so it crashed into pieces. All the servants were unable to swim, that was forbidden by the sultan himself. The king immediately ordered to save them, but they were so afraid to betray their ruler, who ordered them to die if they happen to be in water, that they began to drown. Fortunately, almost all of them survived thanks to the king, but none wanted to serve the sultan after that. And so the Rhino was left with the single servant on a raft left from wreckage. That servant was holding umbrella upon his sultan as they were carried away by the water into the deep deep ocean.

King wanted to save the Sultan, but terrified by his order to kill the servants, he decided to leave Maharaji in the Rhino form till the end of days. As a reminder for those who think that bad deeds should not get punished if done by a ruler. He recreated Maharaji’s palace in his capital and lived happily ever after.

Epilogue​

Sometimes, the Rhino comes back to the shore trying to get away from the raft. And every time when there's someone with noble thoughts who tries to help him, Rhino attacks him because that person stands into water to do that. Diamonds and other valuable prizes are rewarded to those who try and awful sultan returns back to the ocean.

Maybe one day he realises that his deeds were wrong, and then he will become human again.
But until then, it's his trial that he fails to win.
