Not A Bug: Replace units confusion after warning

After getting this alert, placed other units for the remaining slot(s). So, it has all 8 units filled now. Again, clicked replace units button for double satisfaction of having 8 units health strong, but same alert displayed again and 8 units changed into 7 units where it removed the newly picked unit too.

Raising this issue here to get a clear understanding on it.

Recreation steps
- Start doing battles with 8 specific unit (champion)

- After some battles, try to keep only 7 of the specific type (champion) units injured ones for attacking without full health available unit in it.

- Then attempt to click on the replace units, mentioned alert will be displayed.

- After the alert, replaced the empty slot with different type unit to fill the 8 slots for attacking.

- After filling the slots, click on the "replace units" button.

- Here, displays the precious alert again and the attacking army selected got move back to 7 slot set with one empty slot. The newly selected different unit got removed from the attacking army.

sounds more like the list of units to replace is created when the unit management screen opens, and not updated when the user makes changes by manually adding an eighth unit, thereby causing the replace button to restore the old selection of 7.
It's not like when the screen opens, newly added units should go for battle once. If they are still fresh and not had battles before, they are not retained by replace units button logic currently. Logic needs some fine tuning in this part.

I had a fellow guildie with the replace army button and she can say that when she had an army of 2 ranged units and 6 rogue in GE, it was supposed to replace the same number when she clicks on the button. However, it throw in 3 ranged units (from a previous engagement elsewhere) and 5 rogue instead. I wish I had such a feature so I can confirm myself, but that's what happens with these A/B tests these days.

I think they declared it as not a bug because they cannot do anything to fix.

Only solution is, replace units button getting disabled if new 8 units added to do battle. But that will create many other issues of using replace units button.

If new units need to be maintained means they need to be performed in the battle. Before making them into battle and performing replace units action supposed to retain the older units and if players doesn't able to fill the slots this alert will get displayed.

Instead of considering as a bug, it would be consider as a mistake from the player on using replace units button in the wrong scenario.

Logically, it is doing what it's meant for. It replaced the units which it had performed battles. If player wants to get replace with new units without manually doing on every upcoming battles, then new units need to face one battle atleast to get connection from "replace units" button.

I have found thain GE t it works as intended as long as I want it to replace with the exact same units. but if ! manually change units for a battle then hit"replace units" for the next battle, it replaces them with the original selection of troops. But if I leave GE and choose the new selection then go back to fight, it will choose the new troops.

From the OPs error message. Just wondering if it only only picks from unattached troops and ignores attached ones?

The replace button will only save the last full army used in the last fight.
If you don't have enough unattached units to replace them with anymore, you get the error message displayed above.
That's very correct. But the replace units button gives the impression like, whatever units selected in those 8 slots if gets damaged it will be replaced within the type of units selected in those slots. Clearly it is not the only behaviour of that button and having a possible chance to misunderstand the complete usage of the button.

I got into a different situation today. Replace button not saving the last full army used in the last fight.

For example I need to do 5 Battles, I did 3 battles in PvP arena and other two in Continent Map. While moving into Continent map I changed my full army to different units and win the battles with some units injured. Now I moved back to PvP arena again to do battles and saw my injured units, so clicked replace units button. What happened is, it replaced all unattached units picked newly in the continent map with previous time used units in the PvP arena.
That's a surprise and can be considered as a behavior bug.
