Feedback Quantum Incursions update

Players should wrap their heads around the concept that completing levels is irrelevant (and with the bonus nodes at the end it's not possible). Instead, making progress, as shown on the Guild Member Ranking and the Incursion Ranking, is what is important now. I think that players will adjust to this new meta in a short amount of time.
Inno, ideally, should help with this rather than just expect everyone to "get it". The visual for someone who just hops on the map each day is that they're going nowhere - the map looks exactly the same for the first 9 days but progress gets "reset". Not everyone is going to dig into the mechanics to figure out that really all the progress from the first day was kept and that passing nodes isn't the main point but rather just something that happens while you advance the real objective of total progress. I think the *balance* is fine in current iteration, but the feelings are not.

Since each incursion, and each championship has to have a beginning and an end the first scenario seems impractical. Top guilds could clear level 12, and move on to the next incursion, and the next, before smaller guilds clear the first few levels on the first incursion. I can't see how this could work.
I didn't rule out the first option yet because they've made some pretty dramatic changes after each championship so far. And my suggestion would be dramatic requiring additional changes in parallel. But essentially it'd work just how you said: Top Guild that can finish it in say 8 days gets to restart more frequently than every 2 weeks - thereby more often getting their weaker members a shot at the early difficulties - and gaining more ranking points from more passes through. Small guild that can't finish it in two weeks might even only reset at the end of the championship and has to gradually work their way up through harder encounters over the 12 weeks. The ratio of easy encounters/total encounters wouldn't have to be particularly different.

For me, at least, getting reward popups after +/- 40% of completed node actions combined with my treasure chest flashing each time that I pass a Quantum Pass milestone communicates that I am making progress. The guild ranking shows how much progress the guild is making. Could more information be displayed on the map? Probably. But is it really necessary?

I am still not a fan of the Mad Hatter Tea Party/Speed Dating spiel. However, after a few incursions, I felt that I am confident that I can do up to level 9 without the He-Man/She-Ra effects that is in 10-12 in its current state. I know this won't sit well with the majority that did not like it when it first came out (myself included), but I do not see Inno (and the minions that kept company with Inno's decision) reverting the change any time soon.

Maybe no one reached the boss before? (or they did an didn't look at the value)

Edit: that was a blue boss node before. When did it change to a farming node (normal nodes on level 10 are all farming nore = 10M progress!)?

OK, we finished Champ #4. I was skeptical at first, the shards were my MAIN concern. I found it to be fine. I know it has negative feedback but overall, it does work fine. It is a challenge and to excel, it takes time. Xivarmy on live was able to prove it can be done with no AD boost via any city building.

I have not spent 1 diamond on it, big plus ++

Farming nodes each level after Boss, great addition.
Increasing enemy AD every reset, I am ok with it but leave it alone now. Let the ones that find it difficult to figure it out for their cities and make adjustments. Don't start getting cute and adjust the enemy AD.
Big plus on the rewards, very fair.

so NO MORE CHANGES!!! LEAVE IT ALONE. Don't break it!!!

The other thing that I didn't like, I had to look at my standard build again, made a few adjustments but overall, was not a hurdle.

Here is what I have found.
With ascended Oink, Carriage and Holly, you can get a settlement with
6GF, 11 V, 12 archs which can get you ~110 - 5% decos, 550% AD additional
If you start with 150%, that 700% is fine to do L11/12 advanced node battles, mostly manual to save on troops.
The additional 20K coin and supply along with 8% C and S boost, is a nice formula.
Other buildings can help, vaga, gong, bell, puppy, even potions, etc...I just consider them gravy and not in my basis.
From the winter event (plus some from halloween), I have at least 12 oink/carriage and holly - so 1 year of a standard build.

I was able to get to 870% AD and I even skipped about 2 total collections over the course of the season. I did need 14 Archs, did goods expansion thru 240 and bought 100, 150, 200, 250 shard expansions. Total expansions - 10

Final progress, 24000 after 6 seasons



So, one may say, well I don't have 150% base AD. Here is my response. My beta player, I don't go crazy. I play every event and do GE 80. I have not used any Tourney Grounds. I have TGs, just haven't used them, bcs 14 days timer and I want to see what I can do with knowns, like Forgotten Temple. FT is a 100% yes for me bcs I always complete GE 80. I have no settlement buildings too, working on them but not in my base. Just event buildings are in my base. So, if you are an active player and do good in events, you should be OK in QI. OK in QI can mean a lot of things but it is doable. There will always be situations, like very small guilds that have a challenge. If it were me in a small guild, I would just focus on Red A, do L1-9 and take the 2nd weekend off, L10-12.

im doutful that this update will change any thing for us if we cant get to the boss to beat it .

Probably in the 6th championship, at the beginning of the level, you will be able to immediately provide access to an unlimited number of nodes, blue, red and resources, three options, choose your own and enjoy. Why not, because it all comes down to the same thing.

I like a lot in the 5th championship.
The maps are different
There are access to both donations nodes and fight nodes
Less Neo Checkmate for small guilds
The Neo Checkmate

I believe it will be good

Yes we do still go to new level every night, I can live with that with this changes
Yes we may not success finish the Bosses, I can live with that with this changes
 
Positive aspect:
  1. Map is different in most level (actually it's just rotated by 90 degree), which should reduce the playes impression that progress is reset.
  2. Reduced node progress required for smaller guilds. A one guild member should now be able to finish a couple of node every level.
  3. Donation node are accessable without fighting
  4. Boss can be reached fighting one colour only. But bosses are still of both colour
  5. Garrison is back
  6. Boss can be reached without "donating". Especially without being forced to donate troops. Troops can be kept for fighting
I'm slightly in doubt why coin and supplies reward chance where reduced (increasing inconsistency) to free 10% for the summer 2024 kit. It wasn't needed since the Neo Checkmate Square kit was given 2x 10%!

Also any fragment of previous kit now are probably useless. But I hope I'm proved wrong.

my interest in quantum invasion has decreased dramatically, I only needed kings, and on the side queens, if they have already gathered, I absolutely do not like the new building, and now 33% of the awards are completely unnecessary to me !!!! in the last championship there was only 10 % !!! MAKE a choice of the main prize for each player at the entrance!!!!!!

As appealing as the idea of a good production building would be, can you rush it for rivals? It's from QI so i assume not. As such, the stat bonus is all it really carries. So kinda on the fence as to its usefulness. I'd probably build it in one world (solely focused on GBG boost, was targeting kings), but not on my main (focused on the 1x1s for longterm FP-efficiency). If you'd take the instant-finish ban off it, i'd be happy to collect some though.

And I'll wind up with less than half the buildings i'm actually interested in compared to previous runs (the selection kit is of value - but 10% for fragments of it vs 2 * 10% for fragments of the 1x1s). Combined with presumably chests and pass losing access to the desired rewards.

The maps look very flexible - so that'll be pretty low stress. Large red section, blue section, and donation path for whatever the player/guild prefers to do.

Why do you think that rush wont work on it?
from QI only the neo colossus level 8 -11 is on the exclusion list. And that only because of the fragment it produces. This produces no fragments, so it probably wont be added to the list. It's only production is supplies (and permanent bonuses not affected by rush/F(A)SP)

Perhaps they relaxed things since I last looked - i was sure there was a bunch of stuff that produced no fragments but was still on the exclude list from QI/GBG - that they'd just broad-stroked them. But looking now, my neo kings for instance don't appear to be exclude-listed. So hopefully this is useful after all then :)
