Qi "Levels"

I've noticed that when I'm in different guilds, the amount of attempts needed has differed significantly from like 210 to over 700. Whats the deal with this? Can a guild pick it's level? Does a guild go back down a level if it doesn't do good enough?

It depends on guild size. Guilds with more members need more attempts to clear a node.
There is four "levels", rather sizes:
Up to 20 members
21 to 40 members (roughly twice as many as smallest group)
41 to 60 members (roughly three times as many as smallest group)
over 60 (roughly four times as many as smallest group)

Thanks! Guess our guild got one too many players. They should really make it linear though since your guild gets screwed if you go up a level by one guy and now all the sudden your whole guild can't make it to the bosses anymore. Or at least smaller increments.
 
It used to be at a fixed amount for any guild size regardless. However, too many people are saying either they don't progress enough through the nodes to get to the boss (for those in small guilds) or not enough nodes (even though they have the farming nodes after the bosses) to go around (in big guilds). So, Inno basically came up with some kind of measuring stick to ensure everyone is flowing at nearly the same level in terms of node progress (not progress amounts).

My guild has three players, we never get to boss level. Even with the new update we'll never get there. We did buy shards once to do it, wasn't worth it.

We had ~20 players. At the base level, I could take an entire flag solo twice a day. So you could theoretically do it with 3 red players and 3 blue players and some amount of nonfighting players. Less if you guys have a lot of qa boost buildings.
