Puzzled about beta installation

The instructions for installing the beta app call for uninstalling the normal app before installing the beta app. That, of course, eliminates the ability to play the normal game. No mention is made of reinstalling the normal game. Is that what is supposed to happen?

I believe the beta app is able to play the normal servers as well. So you shouldn't need both versions.
