New Idea Opt out of the diamond league

Mouldyy

Reason
There are two guilds with 75+ players that take turns owning all the territories in minutes. If we're lucky one of us gets 8 to 10 fights in a day. The other five guilds who have a lot more members have the same problem. QI and GE are set up for smaller guilds, GBG should be too. We are not getting bigger. We want to get are fights in. We don't care about winning or points only coins. We play trial 25. We want the option to stay in platinum or lower. GBG sucks! as is. We want are diamonds!

Make GBG fair lle the other two
Have you looked to see if this has already been suggested?
Nope
I only have three players and it's impossible to compete in diamond league.

There's one problem with that;

If you had a grand total of 5 Guilds in a world, one in Copper, one in Silver, one in Gold, one in Platinum and one in Diamond, they would all be on the same island facing each other

Because if there are less than 5 Guilds the game pulls from the next League until it fills the island

Changing it to a opt-in to Diamond system isn't going to stop you from facing Diamond Guilds. Because the system doesn't lump based on League, it lumps based on highest to lowest League Points with the League only providing a cut-off point of pulling in lower league Guilds until you reach 5 Guilds on the island.

And let's hypothetically say this idea works to stop people from facing Diamond Guilds so often. Ok. Now you're shifting the problem to Platinum Guilds not wanting those lower Diamond Guilds in their pool either.
I'm pretty sure if you don't have a certain amount of LP you won't be magically pulled back up to diamond. If you get 5th or lower, you're going down a league guarenteed.

It will take time to adjust. People will see where they need to be and adjust accordingly. Some guilds lose a few good players and cannot sustain themselves in diamond, while a plat guild gains a few good members then wants to be in diamond. I think most guilds already know if they should or shouldn't be in diamond leauge already. There's just a lot of wasted time for these guilds who are good in plat and not in diamond - which we see is a large number of people. They practically lose half of all their gbg time cycling between diamond and plat leagues. Not exactly encouraging for people in these guilds. I significantly doubt that the people who choose to be in plat leauge have the capability of beaching all other guilds. If you can do that, you can be in diamond and probably want the diamond rewards.

I've got millions of goods nothing to do with them....

Looks like this idea isnt going to pass.

Someone in here said something about the new Prestige Levels of GB needing goods from the age that they come from for each level ....
Also as a guild, we need goods from earlier ages to pay for buildings in GBG.
I would buy goods if they were from earlier ages. The marketplace doesn't work for getting goods from Industrial or Post-Modern or around that time. (it works but those goods are so rarely there I've given up looking)

Usually, I would think they would go back to the end of the line if they opt in for this as it would be fair for all the other guilds in every other league besides copper (the starting line). That's my personal opinion. But to have certain sizes of guilds to be limited to a certain league is just too far and unfair. Better matching should be more than this.

You're right, mate. You will have LP points reduced if you're at 5th to last, and will be demoted to the lower league (platinum, in the case of being diamond) for the next season. In the 2nd season, we were demoted to platinum to which we missed (or avoided) the special match of 4 (we lost 25 LP that placed us at 975 so we didn't get pulled in). We took on platinum in 3rd season, came back to diamond for 4th season, took about 4th place (if I remembered), still battled in diamond for 5th season to stay in the league, and 6th season, we had the special 4-way that saw us take 1st on the board.

I would absolutely pay red coins for any age goods or trade them if possible. The unfortunate reality is that players hardly stay in those ages to collect goods, or they sit in those ages collecting way less goods per day than what's needed by the treasury. I could offer up 1:1 trades for SASH goods and never get enough from players in the world. But on the other hand, the UI for trading for every single good in the game would look like somebody vomited in hell. There's probably close to 100 individual goods in the game so far.

Yeah, you won't be "magically" pulled into Diamond. But being in Platinum doesn't stop you from versing against Diamond, while being a Platinum Guild. Because Diamond islands still pull from the Platinum Guilds if the island has 4 or less Guilds on it, until it reaches 5 Guilds total.

My guild of three doesn't lose under diamond because we are facing guilds with less members. Diamond has guilds with 75+ members. Having to loose on purpose is asinine.
