Reason
Many time limited items are going to come even if players don't like it. So, having a separate tab to use it will be a small helping hand.
Details
Just new tab needs to be created for time limited items in inventory. This classification definitely helps many to visualise the details of all the time limited items in the perfect single location.
Balance
It keeps balance
Abuse Prevention
No abuse
Summary
Design adjustment for one more tab is bit challenging for PC and mobile, but development can deliver it without any trouble. I believe in them. For sure, separate tab will be massive help in the future.
Have you looked to see if this has already been suggested?
Not suggested
How deeply if we cry to not have time limited items in the game, team will not listen to it. Already experienced this situation in fragments. So, expecting the similar behaviour like fragments to have separate tab for time limited items in the inventory if the time limited items are the wisest choice to continue in every aspect of the game.

You claim it keeps balance and now you want me to prove your claim? I asked you why, so we are back at the start. What does balance mean according to you.
You asked How? You don't know the difference between why and how. As a community member, just one time for community sake explain what is balance with the idea suggested. Asking you to explain, you don't need to prove anything.
new tab in the inventory has nothing to do with balance
Why it has nothing to do? What made you to give this conclusion? List the points/facts so that everyone can understand better.

I am trying to understand many things in the game.

Also, @SlytherinAttack and @Sl8yer, you both are not ready to explain each other and simply twisting the words. Let me try to explain and correct me if it is wrong.

So, it started with this question.
How does it keep balance?
As per my understanding, 'balance' description is given in the idea creation step itself.
Describe what impact this idea will have on other game features. Will it require adjustments or changes? If so, be specific.
So based on this,
- this change doesn't have any impact on other game features
- adjustment or changes, yes definitely new tab creation is needed and relevant items should be copy pasted into new tab and it won't affect any existing item or feature.

If these above points affecting any feature or bringing any conflicts, then it could have been said as "impact the balance". But this idea doesn't impact any thing. Hence, logically as said by @SlytherinAttack, "it keeps balance".

I personally like this idea because which timer building has best properties I can collectively see and compare in the inventory to use it in my city.

I like your explanation. But me and him discussing something else.

I will give you the context, while creating this idea, this idea doesn't have any impact with the balance which both of us know very clearly.
Mostly while creating the idea, in that kind of situation, we used to say "no balance impact". But I mentioned it like, "it keeps balance". That line is different, so he decided to troll or have fun with me like how I can keep balance with the suggested idea. Technically this idea doesn't have anything to maintain balance. It is very straight forward suggestion which doesn't impact any balance in the game. That he also knows it very well. But the words "keeps balance" you twist and understand however you want, which he is trying to play with me from the beginning.

Anyways, thanks for liking this idea.

The mobile app needs an organization. I prefer to have the consumables separated from the buildings and building kits. There are too many potions, selfaid, kits, etc, and finding a building in the inventory is a challenge.

After one year more players going to raise the same concern. Let's wait and see, when the team is going to make a plan for this.

This idea is suggested to make a new tab for time limited items. When they work on this, they will surely address the inventory redesign also.

They should take out the goods (PC)/stock (mobile) tab from the inventory. In PC, this will be shown by clicking the goods icon in the main page which automatically open the inventory and shows this goods tab. Instead of linking with inventory window, it can be separated as stock window. Then we can have a new time limited tab in PC. In mobile, stock tab already available as part of inventory if they wish to move it like mentioned above for PC well and good because they get more room for creating more tabs like PC in mobile.

First, they should list every items in the main tab of inventory in mobile. Main(first) inventory tab in mobile doesn't list fragments. Let them bring all items in one tab. If they do it, bringing new filters and tabs will do the trick most efficiently.
