Cross-server would indeed solve a lot of problems. When they released GBG they said they wanted it to be cross-server but the technical hurdles turned out to be too great (there's a lot more information flowing in GBG, and it's more important to be accurate in realtime - GE just grabs a snapshot of the data when you click on the ranking - data that consists merely of 8 percentages and some guild descriptors)
Definitely strong challenge to apply cross server match making in GBG, no doubt on it. But it is not a impossible one. Even if it takes more than 3 weeks to implement it, no issues on waiting for it. IMO, it won't be a trouble to make the change within 3 weeks.

You'd start by talking to your allies - sharing screenshots of the map (on discord) and seeing if there's a match
Small question, gray color is for the current guild rite. So, sharing screenshots they will compare the two gray colors icon/flag of their guilds. Is it that much easy to do?

The positions will be the same (conquered sectors, progress flags, etc), it wouldn't be difficult. You just have to replace one color on each map in your mind.

If that's the case, rotating the map angle to bottom center point of the screen on the current guild solves the problem. Every guild, sees their starting sector in the bottom middle of the screen.

Still just more work to compare the pictures - now you're looking for rotational symmetry independent of the colors. Every map is going to be significantly different once there's action on it to compare.

But don't they feel the ridiculous thing about doing every season like that. Myself really feeling pity on them, if they are going to do that being a guild leader.

yah, no one expecting something good from inno. I wonder why? :)
A nerf is a good thing. If this is catering to the very top players then this must have a different dynamic from the rest of GBG. Those at the top want a fight, not checkers

Well some of them want checkers for the FP :p

But as long as they don't try to sell it as an all-round improvement, it's not hard to justify nerfs to the perpetual-trading dynamic. "It was too good. It'll still be good, just not quite as good. You'll get over it."

Their mistake last time they tried to apply a nerf to it was calling the Road to Victory splitting the chance for better prizes an improvement rather than a needed nerf.
