Feedback New Challenges await you!

Well, if they keep these massive production requirements, this is the last rival challenge for me as I just cant do it anymore. All 2 and 6 hour rush items gone, less than 10 'finish all' and even my 30 minutes is getting low. If the rival challenges continue like this, they will become impossible. They require far more rush items than one would normally collect over a few weeks.

I'm not doing this Rival challenge: too much effort for almost nothing.

Also ignoring this nonesense. I didn't even start it. Just a waste of time and resources. Who ever thought, such quests are challenging had to be high. That is the same madness you see when you look at the quality and prices of the most famous terminal block manufacturer, because these quests are clearly aimed at people using tons of diamonds to finish it.

I'm in agreement with my fellow players. Histrionics aside, why did you dust off a blah-blah prized Rival like this, especially with all that marketing fanfare!
It ultimately delivers a prize that I have already in inventory, can earn fragments of without fanfare each week, and I'm already "DNA game printed" each week to continue earn this in GE.

So ...from working each month in earnest, I've got depth to my FT inventory.

So... I'm ready now to drop in 1 clean, fresh, new FT and raze the old grey relic in my city from the last one - when it fails to deliver anything but happiness (and dust).

So back to how I determined whether to play this or not...

A good case in point - my first quest! Spend 200 Lumber for 2 GE encounters. Seriously? That's a resource 1 era behind me. I don't make those resources for that purpose!! I'm game frugal - and NOT GOING TO WASTE game-valuable resources that would take me a LONG time to replace.

So guess what? I'd rather buy 2 GE encounters with medals if I need them, vs 200 lumber - a much rarer resource.

Don't make going for my financial or resource jugular that obvious, please.

I then looked at the quest line milestones and said - why am I even bothering with this?
I already have that prize (multiple copies) and this is - once again - an exchange of my rare inventory items for something I don't need, and don't have to have.

I stopped and resolved that once again - Rival is dead on arrival, as @SirAlucard did.

Maybe this Rival is to entice people to "consider" keeping or getting 2 FT's to run in parallel for a month strategy, or help people play towards that goal.
Rival at this level can't be compelling to younger players, nor enticing to veteran players without a prize they (I) want to drool for, and then rearrange their (my) gametime allocation and resource investment to get.

We can't know your visible adoption rate for this, so we judge by comments here (seemingly negative), and privately using other platforms that players communicate with.

Honestly Inno, you'd be much better off, if Rival's adoption rate with players is decaying, to review why you created it to run independent of an event, with such a weak prize offering. It feels like it's a re-tread car tire.

Nothing new, nothing INNOVATIVE.

What might excite people more is something they can immediately earn of value to KICK (Boost) the FT they already all have - for some time duration (for example: a FT boosting kit) that would add 50% more FP boost (so go from 20% to 30%) and also kick up the warrior boosts - for say - 2 weeks.

Taking that approach, a special kit that we can't get anywhere else, would have more people stop yawning and tuning OUT..., and possibly get a small fire to "take a look" and start playing Rival in "off weeks".

Players who has many FSPs/FASpPs to use on many production buildings, who has previous age building which produces units, who has better attack and defense strength for entire GE, who has more goods, who has more coins to buy forgepoints, who has more supplies to spend, who has more buildings to generate more forgepoints, who has more medals, who has more diamonds, literally feels the Rival like a Recurring quest.

Players who missed few of the things mentioned above surely blame the Rival as stupid thing. As a matter of fact, those who are ready to blame or opposing rival might have made the necessary change to face the rival next time fully prepared. Just a learning curve.

Fully prepared okay, but for what, uninteresting rewards. That's debatable and nothing else.

I think we had one where we got a gold Lab and gold Pyramid, that was a good one. So, in between events, like you said, make Rivals like a mini event, 2 day with a real good final prize. Rivals during events I like but if it wasn't there, I wouldn't complain either.

nope, Rival is a pain in the ... you know, the thing.... anyway.... also, I have a couple feathered serpents in one live world. nice looking but not that great. so if a rival is showing a decent prize line, I might do them. maybe.... probably not. like someone else said, I thought there was going to be something really good for prize with all the fanfare. what a let down

Regarding the challenge to produce previous age units, was the wording "recruit x units from a previous age" or was it "recruit x units from the previous age"? I'm wondering if a SAT player could satisfy the challenge by producing BA Spearfighters instead of having to produce SAJM units.

Quest 26....

Recluta 4 unita dell'era precendente = Recruit 4 units from the previous era (thanks Google Translate)

Seems like it's FROM THE, not FROM A...

if it was just from A... it would get 0 airtime here.

build a unit building of the previous age and wait for alca or
build a knights pavillon of the previous age and speed it up with 2 special productions, no big deal.
the 24h production quests are more annoying

The first option require you to have:
  1. enough building time if you produce the unit in the building itself
  2. enough time for alcatraz to produce additional unitis (there are other quests that require units and you might have used it on that already). This is why an official quest list published by Inno would be a huge improvement for Rival.
The second require you to have pavillion from a previous era (any previous era by using one up kit). I checked my city with no Alcatraz and I don't have any from previous eras (I'm testing to see if we cahow different it is without Alcatraz in that city).

Since it is beta, I am guessing it was done to see the response. After all, it is beta so they can do tests. It was a low number so this is how I am looking at it.

I ain't doing it. Why bother being all that extra for some 3rd rate ge buildings?

If you guys were thinking of updating GEX, this would be a great time to tempt us with new buildings.
