Not A Bug: market filter "acceptable only" work not as expected

Troubleshooting
tried on app and different PC
I've first time seen the new filtering methods in the market - which I very appreciate. But the filter "acceptable only" work not the way I would have expected. I would have expected that acceptable is 1:1 in the same era and 1:2 with 1 era of difference. But in the screenshot you can see asbestos (from progressive era) in exchange to genome data (from postmodern era) at a rate of 2:1 --- and these two eras have a distance of 2.

Such a deal is completely unacceptable in my eyes.1737150438422.png

open market place
set filter
Actual Behavior
unacceptable trade are present in the filtered list
Expected Behavior
acceptable trade only should be visable
Frequency
everytime
Can this be reproduced?
yes
Urgency
non game changing (the filter was not available earlier) but forcing players into wrong decisions
Understood. Maybe another word than Acceptable would be better. Could be "feasible", but I'm no native English - so you should decide. On the other hand this information was already present by the highlighting of the "$ ->" button. So the gain of information is small.
So maybe another filter for "fair only" would be more useful to most players - although, or even because, the concept of fair is developed by users.

Not even player agree on what is "fair".
So there is no way for Inno to implement such a filter without making some player unhappy.

And would you use a "fair" filter if it hide any trade that is in your favor?
The 'acceptable' filter does allow us to remove pages and pages of not relevant trade! I use it frequently (especially since I'm not in a late age).

I see. The world is more complicated than I have expected. I understand your argument. But when I use the marketplace, I spend the most time with the question: Are both goods in the same era, if not: are they in adjacent eras if yes is the difference in the right direction (relative to the difference in quantities).
And I think, many other players will do it the same way.
For me it would be already a big advantage if you could add this information as a separate column. For example: 0 means same era, +1 means 1 era up, -7 means 7 eras down and so on. Should I start this proposal as a new thread?

Always!

I hardly use the trade market since I have a small group of friends I trade off with when event quests ask for trading of goods. Other than that, I pretty much don't have a need for it since I had most of the advanced GBs and others I will have to wait on when I get to the age (thanks to buildings that give next age goods along with other things that can be of benefit).

However, I did use FoE Helper in finding goods that are of advantage to me or fair (trade ratios of 1 era up/down). The downside is that you have to keep the market at full expansion (no filters checked in) in order to find the trade you are looking for (as it gave the page and row of said trade); which is why I stopped using the feature since I could not be arsed in trying to find the trade through hundreds of pages in the market (majority are with the merchant who gives a 1:10 ratio for same era goods).

Probably when the feature gets updated to include real time with filter use, I may use it again. For now, I am just taking it slow as I go up the ages.

Yes, because the voting is only on the original idea.
That actually looks like a good idea. At least it would same me time in the rare occasion I accept trades in the market.
