New Idea Let us store Ascended (limited time) buildings

DeletedUser

Farmer
Reason
90 days are extremely long and space is very limited.
Details
The buildings would simply decend to its base version and end up in the inventory like any other.
Balance
No effects on game balance.
Abuse Prevention
No chance of abuse, we would lose the upgrade kit that was used and would eventually run out to free up space.
Summary
Store building kit should work on ascended buildings.
Have you looked to see if this has already been suggested?
Yes
The title speaks for itself.
IMPORTANT!!!
I don't mean we should be able to store them with the active timer to later build them again so the timer continues but we should be able to decide to end the cycle and store the normal/base version of the building at any time. Now we wait for 30 or 90 days to end to free space or permanently delete buildings that were hard and expensive to get. Obviously this should not work on the Forgotten temple, Ancient Temple etc.

It's true, ascended buildings are quite a limitation to gameplay. With an ever growing number of ascended buildings in my town the fact that one can't store them is quite a drawback. I've deleted quite a few of them lately, and mostly stopped hunting after those little side buildings that bring bonuses for QI.
Not being able to store an ascended EM is also one of the major reasons why I don't use the kits for it.
Which in turn also means, that most rewards for events have become quite unattractive to me.

Probably it's time for INNO to bring something new, if changing the side-effects of ascended buildings is not feasible.

There are times (if I had the store building to spare; which I do) I would want to put away ascended buildings to not let them go to waste with the timers to the end. But it's like you said, for 30 or 90, that's an extremely long time, especially if you're remodeling your city.

Yeah, that's a great idea. Not being able to store them is one of the reasons I don't use them.
There are a lot of downsides to not being able to store them.
For starters, you have to keep them for three months or they get destroyed, and we've had a hard time getting a good price for them, so destroying them is a waste. It goes against the game's design.
Three months is a long time to wait to remove them, but one month—given how hard they are to get—is too short.
In the end, many stay in the inventory, just in case you might need them.
They take up a fixed slot for three months, even though the game is constantly evolving, and since Foe is a city-building game, it makes sense to redesign your city.
In the end, only the very best items stay in the city; the ones that aren’t good enough stay in the inventory, waiting until we have the patience and courage to hold out for 3 months without wanting to destroy them.
We could also pause the timer in the inventory. Or, at worst, let it keep running in the inventory.
That would be better than leaving it in the inventory forever.

So yes, I’m totally in favor of it.

Would be nice to store them. I also felt like i had to delete a couple unessesary already.

If you guys agree, please upvote the original idea!
Keep in mind that I think the timer shouldn't stop and should't even keep running in the inventory, storing these buildings would mean losing the ascended upgrade but that's a fair price especially since it's possible to farm ascended kits in the city for pretty much any building while getting the platinum upgrade is only possible during the events, that's why permanently deleting these buildings is not really a possibility.

My own example: I have 6 Yukimoto Imperial Sky Residences, 6 Everblossom Fiore Villages and 6 Radiant Flamingo Paradises built. I had to pay money for the gold event pass in the events and also pay diamonds to get far enough to get this many. It's absolutely unaccaptable to make me lose all that while I could farm the ascended kits for 12 in 2 short weeks in my city with a about 200 FSP kits.
Now I either delete 18 of these extremely expensive and irreplacable buildings or I lose a lot of space in my city if I want to rebuild before the GB update to farm some FPs. There's no good solution.
