If Inno would just boost GB's, theres nothing in it for Inno.
My idea, to make the GB overhaul worthwhile for Inno, and give players a nice new challenge (so everybody can be happy):
Neo Ranks
Neo Ranks can be added by a player to their GB's, at any time, no matter what level a GB is at. Neo Ranks are completely independent from GB levels, and as such dont interfere with them in any way.
Neo ranks add powerfull boosts to a GB.
The effect of a Neo Rank gets doubled for every GB of a particular Era, as long as a player has every GB of that era in their city, and has unlocked at least one Neo Rank on each GB of that era.
The higher the era of a GB, the more it costs to unlock a neo rank. That doesnt necessarily mean that the effects of neo ranks get stronger for higher era GB's. The costs however do.
How to unlock a Neo Rank
In order to add a neo rank to a GB, a player needs to pay
How many neo ranks can be added to a GB
maybe 10? i personally find 10 a good number, although i havent put alot of thoughts into that.
Only one thing must be noted: the higher a neo rank, the more diamonds and sets of blueprints and goods it costs
For a neo rank 10 of a GB of the space age space station the costs would be quite high i would imagine.
GB's that dont get a neo rank
The arc (and a few other GB's) for example doesnt get a neo rank, it is good enough as it is.
But that also means that in order to get the double bonus for the future era (that you get for having each GB of that era in your city, AND having unlocked at least one neo rank on each of them) doesnt require you to unlock a neo rank on the arc. In return, you get no double bonus on the arc itself, because it has no Neo Rank.
What effects do Neo Ranks have?
Thats hard to come up with.
A neo rank is expensive, more so if it is a higher Neo Rank of a higher era. The benefits of a Neo Rank must be accordingly.
It must be worth it for the players to add Neo Ranks to their GB's, and at the same time it must be worth it for Inno to add that feature to the game.
Possible additional or alternate rules
- A GB needs to be level 100 as a prerequisite to add all 10 Neo ranks (1 Neo rank per 10 Levels)
- could also combine this idea with my other ieea about the specialist slots for GB's (see in my posting history for details)
