How to make Animated AVATAR using GIMP

HEY, in this forum animated Avatars are not allowed but you can make them (with the help of my tutorial) and just use them but putting the images in the http://sig.grumpybumpers.com/ , so it will change after each refresh u see and for others it will change too after refresh

Now , the program i use is GIMP . NO TRIAL NO MONEY , FREE!!

TUTORIAL :


1) Open GIMP

2) Go to File>New

3)A Window will pop up.

4) At the Width and Height ,Type 80 for both then press OK

5) At the Layer Option ,Add a new layer

6) Type in the layer name as Frame 1 and Frame 2 and Layer Fill type as White and press
ok ( If you want to add another layer , you can)
( Minimun : 2 layers) and name them

7) You will see a EYE beside a layer.

8) click on the eye on FRAME 2 AND BACKGROUND.

9) Press the layer Frame 1 and Draw whatever you want at FRAME 1

10) Now , Press the eye at FRAME 1 ( It should be missing ) and click the missing eye at FRAME 2

11) The drawing you made is gone temporarily .

12) Now , Draw what you whatever you want as long as it moves.

13) Delete the background layer

14) Click the missing eye on FRAME 1

15)To see your animation , go to Filter > Animation > Playback

16 ) To save it , Go to File> Save As . Save it as GIF

17)Press Ok and a window will pop up , click SAVE AS ANIMATION. and Click Export.

18)You will see another window popping up. If you want to change the time of the speed your animation has,
You can change it at what miliseconds you want to.

Upload it at Tinypic or Photobucket and upload it at the FORUM!

Image rotators are also not allowed on the forum for the time being. In the future maybe..but not currently.

Not really. Animated means "moving without refresh" --- well kinda

Rotators are just a way to show many images without having to manually change.

Then only make a main pic and link it to the animated pic
