How the army boost in QI handled?

Is it like QI node (lieutenant) with blue color shade means our army only uses defense power?

Same for QI node with red color shade means our army units considers only attack power. Is my understanding correct?

Also, Final boss always has two buffs. How come it has two buffs? It is not attacking us and it is only defending all the time rite so it shouldn't take advantage of attack buff/boost. I am slightly confused. Hope someone clears my confusion.

If the node is red you fight using the attacking army QI boost
If the node is blue you fight using the defending army QI boost.

In new Hydra maps there are 2 bosses at the end of each level one blue adn noe red (previous map had only one and it was random).

The red/blue shield that appear on some level are the Stronghold boost to the boss. Once stronghold is defeated the boss doesn't get the bonus anymore.
The stronghold give an attacking army boost and a defending army boost, BUT only the one of the boss colour is actually applied. The other has no effect on that boss.

The colour associated with the icon on the boss node is the colour of the stronghold node (no effect, just a visual reference for when there is mode than one)...

So, final boss based on the color, any one buff cleared means enough. And we always use attacking army but it considers our army boost based on the node color. If final boss is in blue color node, even if used attacking army on it, our units consider only boss color boost (blue means defense, red means attack).

Is that correct?

No, it isn't correct.

There is no such thing as our attacking* army. There is a combat army, the army your are currently fighting with, which can be for attacking or defending.

Stornghold of any colour give bonus to all bosses. The colour is not important for the bonus they give.

Yes, out "combat" army will use the bonuses based on the colour of the node your are fighting in.

* There are two separate defence army. Specifically there is a city defence army and a PvP arena defence army.

I am using 8 Ballista units as my combat army in the QI.

My city has (settlement and event) buildings which will give attack boost for attacking army and defense boost for defending army with respect to QI.

Now my combat army, when it will use the attacking and defending army boost values from my city buildings on the QI nodes. Also which QI nodes which boost my combat army takes into consideration is still not clear to me.

It's better to just start calling them red and blue than attacking and defending. Because they are not really used in any different ways from each other. Just different places.

In QI, red nodes require your red stats. Blue nodes require your blue stats. Stronghold buffs the boss equally whether it's red or blue (if you can't handle the buffs, just destroy all strongholds).

This is where my question comes again and again.

Final boss node comes in blue color means my combat army consider only blue stats. So, I don't need to clear stronghold of red buff for a blue node final boss.

Is that correct?

No. It's true, you only need to consider your blue stats for the blue boss.

But the stronghold buffs both boss red and blue stats regardless of the stronghold color. So if you can't handle the buff you have to clear it whether it's a red or blue stronghold.

Oh okay.

Color in the QI node is to make sure what stats our army units going to be consider.

Boss node cannot comes into a concept of defending or attacking army. They are having own strength and stronghold buffs are extra bonus power to tackle our stats while performing the battle.

Hope this understanding is correct. Now I am able to to understand the first answer given to my question.
