Feedback Historical Allies, iteration one!

Presumably, if generic red attack is what you want you'd prioritize alexander over the spartan soldier, but there's no saying you can't have both if you have 2 buildings with spots for them?

Is it said anywhere how you level them either?
Not to my knowledge. We're on the first block of the "yellow brick road" and trying to get to OZ. ....

Scarecrow anyone?

I'm not really impressed so far with this supposed new feature. As far as I can see, it's just buildings with extra steps and a long and tedious way to level. The announcement also reads like there will be some kind of loot box thingy for money or diamonds (which would also result in money) in the future. If that would come, we would have the next p2w feature, where the people with the most money will run away, while the avarage player will struggle, basically the same experience as we already have with QI and GBG.

Well, if I could delete my expired Forgotten Temple, I would have space to try out this new feature. But, my free space was taken by a new Temple.

I have a strange feeling that historical or rare allies will only be found in silver and gold eventpasses or rivals
Nothing strange at all about that feeling Jova, you know anything good will be $$.

Inno forces us to build a new building, puts it in our inventory KNOWING that the inventory management system in game is god awful, expecting people to not immediately lose the building for the rest of time? Keep it in the main building menu so we can't lose them, forget we have them, totally forget about the feature.

How about like this (in the ANNOUNCEMENT):

Beta players --> getting started with Allies

1) Go into your city inventory, and find the Timeless Junction building
2) Place that building into your cityscape
3) You should now look for the Historical Allies building, which can be found to the left of your Antiques Dealer
4) Continue with simple instructions to PLACE the first ally...
Thanks for sharing the steps (much helpful :like:)

After the 4th step, what should be done
I have no idea what to do next.

And one more thing,

Those 4 steps gave me what benefit also, I don't understand. Addicted to learn though YT videos always a mess when something new comes up.

From KB article "You may also win Historical Allies Fragments" - that means we will collect historically noticeable humans by fragments. HUMANS. BY FRAGMENTS. Why this sounds like Hannibal Lecter style stuff? :) Maybe some rewording would make sence :)
Also, would it be possible to place new buildings for historical allies under inventory lock to prevent accidental selling to AD?

I found the building in the inventory after finding the solution given on the forum by...players!
Nobody at Inno cared about this, because for them the player is the one who has to find solutions!”
But when the player finds cool and fantastic solutions, which the devs themselves are unaware of and never anticipated, the people at Inno immediately cut their wings with the argument of balance!
FoE is this: The student constantly teaching the supposed Teacher.
In a normal company, when employees constantly make gross mistakes, what does the boss do?

And now with this ally, what do I do?
How do I get others?
How do I level up an ally?

Wait: buy diamonds and the miracle of multiplication will take place!

Yeah, big DITTO.
Inno made it pretty clear to not NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY, since they have been hinting at resurrecting inventory pieces and sets of things and giving them new life.

So of course, we're all struggling with massively bloated city inventory whose management system relies MOSTLY (totally??) on a hierarchical sorting key of ALPHA only. If there could be additional choices of :

1) date sort based on when the item was added to inventory,
2) keeping items used every day (like a MASS SELF AID KIT, or COIN BOOST kit, etc....) at the top (sticky items)
3) folders of like items, or related items, or frequently used items.

You get the picture. TRUE INVENTORY MANAGEMENT.

We need INNOVATION to include multiple different ways to organize the inventory to better manage it, and the city it serves...
