the rival costs too many minigame tickets and offers too few rewards
- it should give tickets as one price always instead of the purple witch brew, ghostly gulps and the other one
- too much quests rely on pure luck - collect purple witch brew, ghostly gulps and the other one should be exchanged.

this rival is not fun, its frustrating

Not getting Halloween event on mobile and also support function just closes and chucks u out when trying to contact support w2g forge

Burnt through 400 tickets to get to rival quest 12 and that was with being very lucky with a couple of 'drinks'. Way too expensive on tickets. Not worth it.
 
cant complete Rival quest 25....reported as bug... although I marked the 5 times knife and threw it twice its not adding up to the quest. With and without renewing the board. Now I am out of event currency

Ein, the quest is 1 knife 5 times, it is written wrong. I posted this a little earlier. They screwed up bigtime with a written error to go along with other things like a HIGH probability to consume a lot of tickets chasing drink quests. You could get some from tasks but there are only 6 tasks and those need to match up too.

Also, refresh not counting as spin is another constraint which tends to come back and haunt you...keeping the event theme here...lol
 
It should count since you still threw the knife and paid the price.
at least it should give a hint that the tool your using is wasting resources...
The complete event up until now is a senceless mix of boring actions. Optical, pure based on luck and bugs with regard to the Rival. Where are fresh ideas? Really! This is a disastorous mish mash summer event of last years and several card playing events topped with some senceless features without any explenation. Where is the creativity and phantasy gone?????

If you have IOS (felt sorry for ya, as Apples SUCK!), you may not get it until that store updates the app.

However, for those of us in 'droidland, we somehow got the event the moment it started on mobile and it wasn't on the Beta App, either. Just hope they (Inno) doesn't mess it up for future releases of the event on beta (sans the need for the beta app).

Two things I had kept my promise on to this day: not spending for this event and not doing the rival.

When someone presents me some knives, a good amount of tickets (I do the quests, what can I say), and a wheel with a Joker on it, stuff bound to happen; like 5 knives at the board at the same time kind of happen. Nope, I didn't do any of the side stuff as I didn't really care for such.

But, I do have to say something to the effect that we're still getting 15 tickets after 30 quests were done (and I would think once you complete some point on the milestone the currency count jumps up a bit. Maybe at the 40? I don't know as I am not there yet.

So which one of the geniuses out there thought it was cute to sell 200 tickets for a whopping 2500 diamonds (almost there but you know what I mean)? They should get a spot on the board and see if we're lucky enough to take a stab at him/her (well throw the knife) for a prize (or bragging rights).

Neh, a wheel like this belongs in a tavern where we drink up and have a go.

I got 20 + 25 Tickets today for the daily login and the daily quest. I have not recorded what I got before, but it seems higher. And the diamonds are now 2400 for 200 Tickets, 100 less than before.
I guess they try to find a sweet spot. But I have bad news for you: the game is too random to be able to get by in this way. As said before, it happens to waste a huge amount of event-currency achieving right nothing, without any mistake from my side, but only pure rng.
So if you give more tickets, someone will be able to complete the quests being lucky, someone will uninstall (or delete the account) because he can't achieve anything.
Normally there is some skill involved and its totally under our control:
--> merge game: I can calculate what I will be able to achieve with the pieces on the board and I can get a huge amount of pieces with the eventcurrencies. The goodies I get from the first rival help also greatly with the second
--> card game: I can calculate quite good what I will have to achieve and every task is doable with some patience and planning. Event currency is there enough to do at least 1 rival
--> candy crush game: Its sometimes frustrating, but if I buy some goodies (especially the one that eliminate just 1 square) its doable (more so if I save my tickets or I invest to buy 10 of them) with little investment.
--> Summer/Winter event: certain tiles like double, the eye and reshuffle were a pain, but the board was in full control and with the goodies is was doable.
Here there is no skill, no goodies to help us (the dailies are no goodies, since they are random, cost too much and far to often don't help as at all) and with the interaction of the neighbors its a pain and sometimes impossible (perhaps I should troll other neighbors, so they get upset too and help us making you understand that the event is already very meh, but this rival is really bad, for me personally the worst you have ever done (and its not even close)).

I forgot my suggestion for this reply (this way you cannot say I only vent my frustration or rant): If you make the rival with 4 quest-lines instead of 1 we could use the rewards of energy to complete the quest-lines. This would help greatly all the people that use to plan their steps during the rival.

Rush quest (1-35): +15 tickets
Daily quests (36-end): +20 tickets
Free Daily: +25 tickets

Usually I would tie in the rush quests ending with one of the milestones; so I know the currency output changes. And only 5 more per? Wow, since I am not keen on fully participating or spending for this event, I'll take anything to just throw the knives. Too bad it didn't have a place to put a picture as there are some I would like to place on a board and test my aim to nail them (kind of having someone's photo on a dartboard and then throwing darts at it).

I find it very problematic, that with the historic allies and the fact, that they come as fragments, it becomes more and more risky to try to do the rivals, if you have not deep pockets. If I would play the game without having access to beta or the information of beta, there could easily be the situation, where I invest in the first rival, only to see, that for the historic ally I need to complete even the second rival, where my resources are already depleted (as a resource I count even the diamonds saved or acquired). If than I'm not willing to spend a certain amount of money, than I will remain with useless fragments (and a useless investment).
What I mean is, that the cost of the main-prize (in this case the uncommon historic ally), should be somewhat estimable. It can't be that I invest only to see that I have to invest even more (an unknown amount) otherwise all goes to waste.

This is, by the way, a more generic problem: we are stuck with a growing amount of useless fragments. I think it should be a top priority to give a use to every fragment (through some sort of exchange or something similar).

Yep, what a sad world we live in. Aside from the other ones I have (here's to hoping that we will see those again), these are the ones I had kept in my inventory since I started back in 2016 after taking a long hiatus from 2012/13 of playing.
 
Due to the bug in quest 25 of the Rival I lost some 200 tickets. Reported the bug and got a nice "Sorry" back... So I cant complete the Rival due to the bug. But annyhow this complete event has nothing to do with strategy. Its pure luck and somenow senceless... I allways thought FoE is strategy game... at least this is was its saying when Inno shows a link to the game. This events minigame is a simple game of pure chance. And the first Rival was really a mess... sorry to say
