After a couple of days' play I gotta admit:
IT's too complex and too boring at the same time.
Not the Mini-Game itself but there are just sooo many things going on:
the Daily Tasks AND the three energies AND the regular Daily Challenges AND the leagues ... and it is ALL dependent on RNGesus
complex? what is complex about pushing a button to spin a wheel and another to throw a knife?

I have seen 2 for sure, possibly 3. Now I have been a chicken hawk looking at the minigame all the time. I would say it is definitely on the low end. But, if you are looking for the gold joker selection kit, lots of those, wow, A LOT.

For those interested, I have completed the silver and gold prize list on page 3 with a bit of organization. It may come in handy if you plan to throw 3 knives to complete a task (possibly the 5 knives toss too, it is a prediction I have for a Rivals quest, we will see it). I would also bet we will see the 3 knife toss as a Rivals quest, like 2 of them. Hopefully you have the task too.

Next I will work on the task information I have on page 4. Sometimes I jot down notes so I can have it in one place then I hope to organize it so it reads better.

Glitch: throw task does not count if you refresh and throw.
This was mentioned on discord but I didn't understand it clearly. So, it you have the task

Spin with 3 knives 2 times

and you select

Refresh with 3 knives

doing refresh 3 does not count like spin 3?

Now, assuming the answer is yes, when you refresh you are still spinning (hate using spin when it is throw). So, this is a big NO BUENO to get so detailed. but I still put out there, it is still spinning the wheel (NO BUENO x2).

Then we could assume if you have spin 3 knives for a task and you do 5 knives, you will not get credit although 3 knives are thrown with 2 extra which would be a GRANDE NO BUENO.

What's next, a blindfold while playing? lol

Some tasks say spin and throw other say refresh and throw. They are different buttons below the wheel.

Yes it's a little confusing, I got caught by it as well.

The neighbor interaction is fine by me for regular play but it is a problem for doing Rivals.
Example Q2
3 witches brew
1st board - none, someone refreshed
2nd board - 1 witch, someone took, someone refreshed
3rd board - had 3 witches, I threw, missed, someone refreshed
This is not going to be fun at all and I will have to watch/wait or waste tickets. I don't mind spending tickets (or any event currency) for Rivals but that is when I can control things. Hmm, thinking I am not gonna like it but I will keep an open mind.

FYI, Sinitar posted on Discord, Q25, "Spin with 5x knives 5 times". Yes, 5 times, you read it correctly even though I could understand some sticker shock. AND, the reward is 30 fragments for Alexander uncommon plus, HOLD on to your hats, 3 delicious purple witches brews (at that price, straws included).

Well, back to the week 1 Rivals when they were a complete bust. Nothing like bringing back the good ole days.

Well, I guess Alexander will remain common, I am starting to like average Joe, Alex.

Looool,

for the amount of tickets we get from the quest-line and the daily login plus eventually the incidents the rival is way overpriced. I use to spare all event-currency (in this case the tickets) for the rival. I'm at quest 13(!!!) and have already spent almost half of my available tickets. Getting the right Energy is far too difficult (as described above, often the energy is not present and I had to launch 18 knives to get the lone Ghostly Gulp on my board, that's a whooping 180 tickets for just 1 quest).
Sorry, but at least 1 Rival (the first) should be doable without having to resort to buying tickets with diamonds if the players saves all currency for the rival.

We get far too few tickets.
This will be my second rival, that I will skip (on beta) and if he remains like this, I will skip the entire Event on main.

As a suggestion, I would add energy to every single price and I would add double energy (in the sense that you can win 2 times energy hitting the price) to the common prices (this way it would be even less frustrating to get a pointless price).

I agree. Spending 180 tickets to compelete only 1 of the 32 tasks is outrageous. I liked the Rival from the last event much more because it was somewhat doable. This Rival is one of the hardest Rivals, like the Anniversary event Rival where you had to spend a truckload of diamonds to free 4 red level 3 gems or something like that. So a very difficult Rival that will deplete the ticket stock of the unsuspecting player.

I am currently at 10 progress in the Rival and am wondering why I should continue. A lvl 1 Joker's Sinister Spin is not an appealing prize and neither is a Abandoned Asylum selection kit. The Witch Brew of Ghostly Pulps we get as rewards don't contribute to the main prize progress. I would rather have more tickets. The energy chests have lame rewards anyway, at least for a strong player. The final prize Nightshade Cemetery is a good building but it doesn't warrant the exorbitant ticket cost to get there.

So I'll just save my tickets and evaluate the Rival of next week.

Just a note...to get the full Alexander uncommon ally, you need to complete all the fragments quests. Uber posted in Discord, Q29 is the last one for fragments. This is another reason I will not do it, if I get to 29 and use most of my tickets, then I am a sitting duck for whatever the Rivals 2 will be and I don't like to be in that position.

Last event, I remember, you chose to complete Rivals 2, you liked the rewards. I chose to do chests, wasn't happy with the Escutcheon Estate nerf, but both of us (and everyone) was able to make a choice.

I just want the platinum lodge, that is my only goal. I mentioned earlier, the target getting refreshed is not Rivals friendly AT ALL. It is fine for regular play and sometimes fun.

So a luck based Rival.
What a refreshing idea. /s

Some of the quest are a little strange. Did you blindfold the dev and asked them to code the quests while they cannot see?
Quest 3: Gain 6 Grand Prize Points

Nothing strange with the request, but If I saw correctly one knife gives 10 progress point (for common/uncommon prizes). But if we hit the golden prize we get 15. So what is the point of 6 in the quest? It could have been 1.
Just something else that could go wrong if you re-balance the amount of progress we get - distance of the grand prizes!

Another point of critic. I have to pay 2500 Diamonds for 200 Tickets. I have right now spent another 200 Tickets trying to get 7 Midnight Fuels:
- Wheel has all energy prices already taken so refresh (10 Tickets). Wheel has only 1 Midnight Fuels and I get a useless prices.
- I throw knives 3 more times, winning pointless prices, while a neighbor comes in, wins the golden price and refreshes the Wheel right away (30 Tickets)
- Wheel has 2 Midnight fuels, 1 goes right away to the refreshing neighbor. I use 8 knifes to get the other Midnight Fuel (80 Tickets, 5 Midnight Fuels)
- I refresh and I get a wheel with 1 Midnight Fuel. I use 8 knives, winning pointless prices (for the rival), but since I get the gold price (Joker's Malevolent Selection Kit) a neighbor decides to refresh the wheel (80 Tickets).
--> I give up. I have spent 200 Tickets (would have been 2500 Diamonds) to achieve nothing....
